Here is the first 30 days’ results and comments below:

Number of days of review 30

Number of betting days 28

Return on first 30 day period  – 85.9  pts

Starting bank         500 pts

Highest bank  661.5 pts

Lowest bank  414.1 pts

Current bank          414.1 pts

Running P/L        – 85.9  pts

Return on bank  -17.2%

Total time investment = 280 mins

Average return on time  = -0.31pts/min

(Time calculations assume an average time of 10mins to place and record bets for each betting day)

A disappointing first 30 days, especially after the total gain of  about 460 pts over the previous 3 months (to the start of my review) according to the service proofing site. Also each calendar month (Jan, Feb and March) was in profit at the proofing site. However very few services perform in profit every month, so no judgements can be made as yet. The review continues into the second 30 day period.

Trainer Track Stats

I have an update on Trainer Track Stats for you today.

I’ve always been a fan of this system. It’s just finished it’s National Hunt Season and has once again produced a decent profit, this year over 110 points to level stakes.

It’s been a solid earner for the last six years and works by backing a few targeted horses a day in specific races at certain tracks.

Well, this year they’ve released a guide for the Flat season too. It concentrates solely on Juvenile (2yo) races and has highlighted 41 trainer/track combinations to follow for 2012.

If you’ve used Trainer Track Stats before then no doubt you will have already bought this guide. However, if you’ve never tried it then I seriously recommend giving it a go this season. It costs just £39 and you get a daily e-mail direct to your inbox containing the daily selections.

Check it out here:

Football Value Selections

Day 35 Results:

25-04-2012

When I started trialling these selections I mentioned how I felt one advantage was the ability to be consistent with few losing weeks. A small starting bank of 100 points could comfortably ride out rough periods as the low average price of the selections and the high turnover of bets allowed the bad days to be smoothed out. Since monitoring these selections since last October I haven’t seen a period of inconsistency like the one seen during this trial. Yesterday is a fine example. Of the seven different games selected six had a winning selection, only the Leece game actually lost. This comes on the back of a run were it felt like a real grind trying to find winners, the constant ebb and flow of positive then negative days just didn’t seem to want to end. Then came yesterday and a profit of +13.12 from a few rearranged games on a Wednesday afternoon in Serie A, a strange day indeed.

This gets to the heart of what is needed when looking at gambling as a long-term prospect of generating additional income or even making a living. A short-term view can often disappoint and lead people to move from system to system without analyzing the facts and figures within a system and it’s selections. Yesterdays results highlight this perfectly, I felt the numbers would always correct themselves and the trial would ultimately prove a success. We are still nowhere near that yet but the bank now stands close to the bank high even after the trial began with three losing days and a bank of -15.83. As I have mentioned before I aim for a profit of 20 points per month from a bank of 100 points, actually a bank of 75 points is likely to be recommended. So far in April we are looking at a profit of +8.20 points. With a busy weekend ahead as many leagues come to a climax we will see were we end April in the next few days.

Points: +13.12

Total Points: +6.22
