Slayer Lays

Well two months on and Slayer Lays hasn’t really done much with the profit now standing at -£58.

Not a lot to say really as you just leave the bot on and it does it all for you but with not much going on I think it’s time to put this to bed. It may be profitable over the long term but since I can only have three GHB’s running per subscription I think it’s put to better use with other settings.

I’ll give this method a Neutral Rating.

Slayer Lays is a free system available for GHB users and is available here:

Betfair Pirate

Not much happening with BF Pirate. It’s recovered a bit, then lost it again. I’ll update in a month as I think this test warrants a good three months to see how it does.

Betfair Pirate

Well, as I said, this is an easy bot to test because I’ve just left the thing on since starting it on 6th July.

I can confirm that it has been betting away on my virtual server since I switched it on, whilst I was on a mini break in France, without a problem.

The only drawback is that it’s lost nearly half the bank!

Profit: -£239.55
Bank: £260.43

My bot is set to bet to a Liability of 5% of the bank, so at least on this losing run the bank hasn’t been wiped out, which is a big advantage of this staking plan.

This must be very disappointing for the bot sellers because the minute they release the bot, it hits a losing run… can’t be good for sales! Anyway, this is horse racing so I’m never surprised by this sort of thing. Let’s see how it gets on over the coming weeks.

Betfair Miracle

UPDATE

It’s now been five full months since we reviewed Betfair Miracle and so it’s time for a profit update on the system.

Betting to £100 level stakes the profit using both the Main and the Bonus systems now stands at a very impressive £9,133 since the beginning of February. The longest losing run they’ve had has been just 2 bets but the longest winning run has been a massive 27 bets!

This system will obviously remain in the Approved section and should be a serious consideration for a place in your betting portfolio.

The Master Plan

5th -£276.36

Total Profit:-£237.86

Well, the bot fell over yesterday taking nearly half the bank with it and leaving the publishers scratching their heads wondering what happened. To their credit, they’ve suspended subscriptions, put their hands up and admitted something has gone horribly wrong. They’ve been up all night putting together a recovery plan and implemented it today for users to recover the loss safely over the next 6 to 8 weeks. They are not charging any subs during this time and are going to be spending the next few weeks looking at what went wrong in order that it doesn’t happen again.

Since the recovery plan is something different to The Master Plan, this blog test will have to go on hold until the fix has been made.

Personally I’m not going to bother with the recovery plan as I am only interested in testing the actual Master Plan system, so I’ll write off the £237.86 and move on.

Since the bank wasn’t wiped out and since there is a recovery procedure in place it’s seems unfair to label this as a Failed method (yet!), so I’ll stick this in the Neutral Section for now and re-start the blog test once the bug has been fixed and losses recovered for this crash. I’m not normally this generous on a blog test but the response from the vendors to this situation has been, in my opinion, totally honourable and therefore I’m prepared to give them a second chance.

UPDATE 25th August

Time for an update on The Master Plan.

The long and short of it is that, it’s all good news! Since the system had it’s hiccup it’s been solid profits daily, gradually recovering the loss. The team behind this service have really shown their true mettle and seem to have bent over backwards to make up for the losing day.

We had an explanation from John Duncan describing exactly why the bot fell over in the first place, which was to do with the fact that they had made the bot calculations based on market SP prices and not the better Betfair SP prices. So although the bot performed entirely as it was supposed to, for the first time in 29 months the higher Betfair SP prices allowed one too many bets to get through the filter that should not have done so, and this wasn’t something they could have foreseen.

So they fixed this error, gave everyone a free subscription until they had recovered what they had lost, and set about implementing a recovery strategy that included running a couple of different systems on the bot at the same time. And it worked.

I have been very impressed with how they responded to this hiccup and I’ve had a few e-mails from other subscribers along the same lines.

In view of this I have decided to re-catagorise this service as Approved. I’ve been using the bot every day myself and it’s a neat piece of kit with quite an amazing profit potential due to compounding the bank daily.

I will do another update on this service in a couple of months.

UPDATE  5th October

Well the Master Plan has made a staggering recovery. Again, just aiming for a tiny percent profit each day and compounding the returns the profit now stands at £182.92. I think this is going to be a very interesting year!

UPDATE 10th March

Another wipe out day today for anyone that wasn’t around to stop the bot. I think it’s time to move this method to the Neutral Section. It’s a fine method if you are available to stop the bot when instructed to do so by the admin, but if you are looking for something to set and forget, then you can forget this one!

Betfair Pirate

Betfair Pirate is a new betting bot to hit the market today that Lays selections based on inbuilt criteria. You download the bot, choose what staking plan you want, and click go. You can then leave it on indefinitely and it will bet for you without you having to do anything further.

The bot has been created by Malcolm Pett and the team at Grey Horse Bot so is reliable and stable.

You get a results spreadsheet with the download that shows the effects of using the different staking choices over time starting with a £500 betting bank. The choices are betting to level stake, level liability, percentage of bank stake and percentage of bank liability. The results showed that from September 09, betting £10 level stakes made £2,070 profit. Betting to £15 level liability made £1,152 profit. Betting to 5% of bank as a liability made £2,628 profit and 5% of bank as stake made £1530 profit.

It would seem therefore that betting at 5% of bank as a liability is the way to go and, this is also the option I use for the LOF bot because it means the bank can never go bust even on the most horrendous losing run but on a good run the bank can compound quite rapidly.

I only got my review copy of the bot yesterday evening and test ran it on a Betfair account I use for another bot which had about £350 in it. Checking it this morning I was pleased to see it made £18.05 just on yesterday evening races.

So today I topped the account up to £500 and will start the official test from now as everything appears to be working perfectly. The official results look good and odds layed never go over 6.0.

Looks like this could be another good ‘set and forget’ bot to add to the portfolio, let’s see how it gets on.
