Weekend 24/25 October

Chelsea and Spurs could have been bets this weekend had one eased the rules a little, in fact, Spurs was almost a 100% bet except that the required third element is missing. Bayer Leverkusen was also a possible bet on Friday. Also, Inter vs. Catania and at last, Sampdoria vs. Bologna is a genuine bet. Barcelona & Sevilla were two more just outside the rules, same for the Bordeaux vs. Le Mans match, also Twente vs. Groningen in the Eredivisie. I mention all these to show how hard it is to find these 7-15 bets per month according to the rules. Of these, Sampdoria is the only true selection.

The Spurs result shows what an uncertain business football betting is. A top 3 team playing at home versus one halfway down the league – and they lose. Chelski did overwhelm Blackburn and both Italian teams and Bordeaux won, but Bayer and Sevilla both demonstrated that, on a day when your strikers have a Do Not Disturb sign round their necks, the underdog can sneak a draw. However, Sampdoria was a true bet and they duly won.

I have mentioned the paucity of bets when following the system properly and in light of this, yesterday a colleague directed me to a website which was showing a mail from someone who explained that he was the originator of this system and was leaving the promoting firm (his partners) because he disagreed with what he called their selling methods. He then re-stated his expectation of selections as 20-40 of very high quality per season and that he never wanted clients to find a lot of poor bets by ignoring his strict rules. He maintains that 40 good bets are better than 100 poor ones, a premise with which it is hard to argue. I intend to mail him to ask if he would clarify whether it is acceptable to accept away selections as long as they fit otherwise – this is not clear in the ebook and if he agrees, it would admit the possibility of seeing these 40 bets because, up to now, I have little hope of that. On the other hand, the two we have had have won.

He also mentioned that the Top Tips service which was quoted in his Ebook were his personal selections and disagreed violently with charging clients so much extra for them. He has a good point here because while they are offered at £3.50 p.m. in his ebook, the price on the sales page is nearly as much as the system itself, which is already quite expensive. He rounded off by expressing his intention to publish the system again in some form. Meanwhile, I await a response to my query.

For the remainder of the trial, I will look at what is offered including the away selections because, after all, this is an option any user might try. I wont suggest any more of these outside the rules bets.

Football Fibonacci

So far the strike rate for this system has been excellent.  The problem is selections are few and far between, with only one selection this weekend.  Although the selection process is very straightforward, it is probably no accident that there have been few selections but an excellent strike rate.

Drawing Profits

Sat 17 and Sun 18 October

All 7 teams played this weekend and 6 lost for loses of £8.07 on Saturday but a winner saw a profit of £6.32 on Sunday. The bank now stands at £982.43.

We are looking for a particular score. Long losing runs are to be expected, so I am not surprised that we have had only one winner in the last few weeks.
