Robobets

Friday 31st

One winner but not enough to profit from.

Daily profit:-£18

Total Profit:-£932

Final Review.

Well, I’ve given Robobets a fair amount of time, running it every day for just over two months. The reason I gave it an extended trial was because it hit a bad period when I started the test and I’m confident that the results listed on their site are accurate, so I felt it would be fair to give it another month to see if it would recover.

Unfortunately it didn’t.

I was initially very hopeful about this service. You don’t have to pay anything until you have won at least £100 using £2 bets. This is very reasonable indeed and gives you the opportunity to see the bot in action and winning you money before you decide whether you want to subscribe or not.

I indeed won my first £100 very quickly, and more importantly when you see the bot working it becomes clear that the results listed on their website are updated automatically bet by bet as soon as the results come in. Because of this I’m extremely confident that all the previous results are accurate.

These results show a profit every single month since April 2008 with the only two losing months being June and July this year. Losing months are to be expected with any betting system or service and it’s unfortunate that it happened during this test. However, July was really the last nail in the coffin because it wasn’t just a losing month, it practically broke the bank.

Because of this I have no choice but to put this system in the Failed section. Losing months are fine, but breaking the bank isn’t.

Having said that, I will be personally keeping an eye on this to see if things pick up again, but I won’t be betting myself, which says it all really.

You can take a free trial of Robobets here:

UPDATE

Well August was a wash out too. Only £8.56 profit which doesn’t even cover the cost of the subscription. That was using BSP too, if we had bet taking the price at the time we would have lost another £277.

Final Review

Well, what can I say? What a great system!

This is a very simple system that targets specific trainers running horses at specific tracks. The idea is that certain trainers have shown they do very well at certain tracks so by backing any horse that particular trainer is running on that track, we can get in on gambles that the majority of punters won’t know about, nor the bookies. The result is some very nice priced winners.

I ran the test backing each horse at £10 level stakes, using the new selective method that the author released at the end of June. This gave me quite a few days where there were no bets, but on the days where there were qualified bets, we saw some amazing winners, especially using Betfair SP.

This system requires a certain amount of patience as you can go a week or two with not much happening but when you do hit the winners, they can be pretty spectacular. Much of the profit from this test came in on a few good days, with winners romping home at odds of 32, 38 and even 71!

In four weeks, betting with just tenners, this system made £1032 profit.

Buyers also receive access to Tony’s website where he lists each days qualifiers, so it takes minutes to do. If you want, you can do it yourself the evening before and place your bets at Betfair SP. I’deal for people that are not available to bet during the day.

So a big thumbs up for this system. Anyone that likes nice simple backing systems that produce big profits for small stakes would do well to add this one to their betting portfolios.

The Edge

Final Review

I have been recording the results for this system for the last month and have now finished the test.

The idea is to back horses that have seen a rise in certain facts and figures found in The Racing Post over the course of their next three races in the hope of finding a winner.

As can be seen from the test results, this has not been a very successful process. There are claims of very good profits made over the last few years on the sales site but we have not been able to replicate those at all.

Part way through the month, the author said that he thought that the figures in R.P. were being calculated in a different manner this year when compared to previous years and that that was the reason for the large number of bets and the poor performance. He then slightly changed one of the criteria for the selection method. Alas, this did not help the bottom line at all, but may help explain the vast difference between previous years and this current season, as I do not believe that the claims of past profits are outright lies.

The selection method for the system is simple enough, but would be very difficult  to keep up with if you had to work it all out for yourself. Thankfully you are provided with a website to log into where all that day’s qualifiers are listed. You then have to decide which of the two staking methods you will follow.

Method 1 is to simply back all qualifiers for a level stake. Method 2 was to follow the author’s advice and treat it as more of a tipster service. The author’s advice was generally based on the more likely of the days qualifiers and to back each way when practical. Method 2 was less disastrous than Method 1, but still managed to almost halve it’s bank in the space of a month.

Overall I find I have to file this under Failed Systems. This is of course due mainly to the fact that it lost A LOT of money during the test. Another concern is that we are slap bang in the middle of the flat season and as the system is only to be used at this time of year you would hope that July would be the best month. As stated above, the selection process would be very time consuming if you were doing it yourself and if the author decided to stop providing the website qualifiers service, you would have to manage all the selections and qualifiers lists yourself. Not an easy job, even with using the GG.com reminder service.

I did have quite high hopes for this one when I started as the basic idea does seem logical and the reasoning is sound, but it has not been backed up in practice as you can see from the end of test figures given below.

Method 1 (starting bank £1000)
END OF TEST BANK  £165.91 (Total Loss -£834.09)
.

.
Method 2 (starting bank £1000)
END OF TEST BANK  £501.14  (Total Loss -£498.86)

All figures quoted are worked out to Betfair Starting Price and have had 5% commission deducted. Where each-way betting was advised, a 1/2 pt was placed on the win market and 1/2 pt placed in the place market and settled at B.S.P. accordingly.
