A losing day today with three losing bets overriding the winning bets. I checked the live shows and unfortunately one of the losing bets would not have been a qualifier under the system rules as the odds were too low but obviously they were high enough on Betfair to qualify. Still, this test is all about using Betalay with GHB and so it is what it is. That’s five days profit wiped out in one day… imagine having to sit there all day doing it too!
Now, I had an e-mail from a reader that has been getting different results to me with a lot more bets getting matched and I think more profit because of it so after a bit of thinking I concluded it was down to the fact that in the bot settings I have it set so that the bet is cancelled if there are any non runners. This is because within the system rules you have to have a certain amount of runners and if there are non-runners then this could take you below the specified limit.
So with my settings even if there is one non-runner in a fifteen runner race then the bet gets cancelled even though it would actually still qualify.
So from now on I’m going to take advantage of another cool setting within the bot which cancels the bet depending on the non-runner reduction factor. So if a favourite becomes a non runner, the reduction factor is high and the bet would get cancelled, if the non-runner is an outsider then the reduction factor is low because it’s less likely that it would affect the race and the bet would still go ahead. I should have thought of this before I suppose but there’s nothing like losing a bit of money to make you sit up and assess the situation.
So I have now set the non-runner reduction factor to 20% because if the favourite is a non-runner then it’s likely to cancel the bet. I have also set the ‘Stop betting during non runner removal’ option to 20 seconds to avoid the inevitable funny odds that come up when this happens.
Day 6
6 winners, 3 losers.
P/L at £5 Stakes: -£57
P/L at £25 Stakes: -£285
Running Totals
44 winners, 7 losers.
P/L at £5 Stakes: -£6
P/L at £25 Stakes: -£30

Nothing today from Three Key Racing but the author came back to me yesterday with the code for a discount offer for anyone wishing to take advantage of their tipline service. I use the service simply because I’d rather spend 30 seconds getting the info than 30 minutes working it out for myself.
The code is: CM1
When I do the review of this service I will put this code in the e-mail, assuming of course that the system is profitable!

Another close bet again today that didn’t quite qualify. They recommended half stakes:
1.35 – Carlisle – Marshall Hall – Unplaced Favourite at 4/7
Blimey!

No connection problems yesterday thankfully. I switched it on, left it all day and looked in the evening to find another £36.37 in my account. Looking through the session revealed a busy day for the bot, unsurprising I suppose for a Saturday. Two winning bets followed by a loser at 7.4 meant it had to do some serious work to get it back and into profit again for the day. It chugged away though winning another twelve bets throughout the day finishing off with a nice profit.
Day 4
14 winners, 1 loser.
P/L at £5 Stakes: £36
P/L at £25 Stakes: £180
Running Totals
38 winners, 4 losers.
P/L at £5 Stakes: £46
P/L at £25 Stakes: £230

Like yesterday they advised a bet at half stakes due to not being strong enough but it did lose as predicted:
1.25 – Cheltenham – Willyanwoody – Unplaced Fav 2/1
I’m not including these bets in the stats for the test.

I discovered yesterday that I might have to keep an eye on the bot afterall. Nothing to do with the bot, rather my internet connection which I’ve been having intermittant problems with since I switched over to Sky broadband when I moved house in Feburary. Has anyone else using Sky broadband been having problems with the connection dropping in and out? Calling them seems to have little effect as you speak to the monkeys instead of the organ grinder and they ask you stupid questions like ‘is the filter plugged in?’ etc. If this carries on then I may have to switch back to Tiscali who I never lost a connection with in two years. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, as they say.
Anyway, the reason for this mini rant was because I checked in the evening to find that the bot had missed all the Wolverhampton races due to my connection being severered and I had had two losing bets during the afternoon so I could have done with Wolverhampton to recover the losses. Nevermind.
So the days results are a bit out I’m afraid but there’snot much I can do about that. I had 8 winning bets and 2 losing bets making a loss for the day of £29.
Day 3
8 winners, 2 losers.
P/L at £5 Stakes: -£29
P/L at £25 Stakes: -£145
Running Totals
24 winners, 3 losers.
P/L at £5 Stakes: £10
P/L at £25 Stakes: £50

One bet from Three Keys today on their sevice line although they advised half stakes because it was an Irish horse and therefore they didn’t have some information they needed for it to qualify as a proper system bet. I didn’t lay it because for this test I’m just going to lay the actual system bets.
Cheltenham – 12.45 – Top The Charts – Unplaced Favourite at 7/4
I guess I should have layed it!

I managed to keep from looking at the bot yesterday except for one quick peek in the afternoon when I kidded myself that I was just checking to see that it was working ok. It is actually far better when you don’t look at it as then you really are detached from it and letting it do it’s job without getting involved.
I forgot to mention yesterday that I checked with the live shows after the racing to see if the selections picked by the bot on Betfair would have qualified against the SP and they all did, as they did with yesterdays session too. It’s just that because Betfair prices tend to be higher than SP’s I wondered whether we were getting selections that shouldn’t have qualified. Of course, we could have missed selections that qualified at SP but not on Betfair but we won’t know this until they update their published results. Either way it doesn’t matter because I’m certainly not going to do it myself and I’ll only be using this system with the bot if it proves profitable.
So how did we do yesterday?
Five matched bets, all winning bets so another £25 up thank you very much.
Day 2
5 winners, 0 losers.
P/L at £5 Stakes: £25
P/L at £25 Stakes: £125
Running Totals
16 winners, 1 loser.
P/L at £5 Stakes: £39
P/L at £25 Stakes: £195

I’ve had a lot of requests to test this system because it has had rave reviews in certain racing publications and websites so I thought I would give it a go. Now it’s laying again, and yes I know we get a lot of lay systems but most of them aren’t up to much or lay at too high prices so this should present a refreshing change.
The highest odds of this system are 5/2 yet the current strike rate is an incredible 90% which, if you work it out, means that you simply have to make money with this.
They have proofed their selections to a reputable betting newsletter (to which I subscribe) and I know the author doesn’t mince his words so I’m already fairly confident about this test.
The system involves a bit of work to identify the selections to lay as you have to go through the race cards and look for specific criteria and make comparisons with the other horses in each race. No doubt this will get quicker with experience but it’s by no means a five minute task like a lot of systems out there. No doubt it is this thoroughness that produces the results though. They do offer prompt e-mail support should you be confused about anything.
It’s a bit more pricey than your usual £47 e-book but ultimately you get what you pay for and if this system is as effective as what I’ve been hearing then it should pay for itself in next to no time.
They have also recently set up a phone line service on which they put up the selections for each day to save you doing the work. This is a monthly subscription but saves a lot of time and obviously should pay for itself tenfold. I have asked them about giving my readers a discount should they wish to subscribe to which they have agreed and they will be giving me a promotional code for you to use to get the discount. I’ll post that as soon as I get it, but there is no need to use the service if you want to find the selections yourself, it’s just an added convenience.
The system comes in two parts, the Patient Lay which, as the name suggests, has only a few selections a month with a very high strike rate and the Regular Lay which gives more selections with a slightly lower strike rate but still very profitable.
I will be posting both Patient Lays and Regular Lays here but only after the races have run as obviously they are running a service and it wouldn’t be fair to give out the info in advance. I will be also be laying to win £100 on each selection (told you I was confident!) after Betfair commission. They recommend a 10% staking plan but I’m not personally convinced by this with a laying system as the liabilities are always higher than the winnings and a couple of losers would take ages to rebuild using 10% staking so for the purposes of this test it’s level stakes and then we can see where we are at the end.
