Horse Laying Professionals

I’m asked on a fairly regular basis what systems or services, out of the hundreds that we’ve reviewed over the years, do I personally use myself.

Well, actually it’s usually ‘what is the best system or service out there’ and that’s an impossible question to answer because everyone has different circumstances and a system or service that is excellent for one person may be completely useless to someone else.

My own circumstances dictate that I’m generally not available to bet live during the days, and I usually do not have a lot of time to spend on my daily betting activities, so my personal preferences are systems and services that I can spend just a few minutes a day placing my bets and then I’m done, leaving me free to get on with other things.

I use Bet Engine to place all my Betfair bets because it’s really quick and it keeps a really useful log of all the bets of each particular system or service I’m using.

So one of my favourite and certainly one of the most profitable services I use is Horse Laying Professionals. I’ve been betting live with this service since 22nd May 2013 and it really couldn’t be simpler. The e-mail with the day’s selections is there in the morning when I wake up and it’s just a matter of placing the bets, or setting a bot to place them and that’s it.

Here are my actual results betting £25 level stakes:

Bets: 665
Successful: 501
Unsuccessful: 164
Strike Rate: 75.3
Avg Odds: 3.96

Profit: £1,867.05

That’s a nice profit over nine months for a couple of minutes work a day!

This is definitely one of the most stable income producers in my betting portfolio and the growth on bank has been phenomenal.

If you haven’t tried Horse Laying Professionals yet then you’re missing out. The price is just £7 for the first month and then £37 a month after that but the price is going up to £47 a month very soon so if you wish to lock in the cheaper price, it’s time to act now.

Ok, so its been a couple of weeks since the first set of results.  How have we got on? Well, not good to be honest.

Since the last update we’ve had 16 days but only 7 bets. That’s because either its been a no selection day, or, the BSP was too high. Of the 7 bets that we did place, 4 have lost!

So where do we stand, well, 14 bets in total, 8 have won, 6 have lost. Strike rate of 57% and at £10 stakes the bank is down -£63.20.

What about my random picks that I’m using as a comparison? Well, that hasn’t placed a single extra bet in the past 2 weeks. All the random picks have been above 4 at the off. In order to keep the comparison in line with the tips, if the odds are greater than 4, the bet is not placed. So, the random picks still remain at 4 bets, 3 won, 1 loss, 75% strike rate and bank £0.80

That’s all until next time.

Diamond Racing Lays

I’m going to be reviewing Diamond Racing Lays from Jason Matthews.  This is an email tipping service for laying horses and is managed by “Bets For Today”. The costs for the tips is £29 per month.

Once subscribed, you get one email per day, at anytime between 9am – 2pm, listing the bet for the day. The email contains just one tip.

So, first impressions are that it is a very minimal service. There are no documents to read, nothing to understand, not even a staking plan.  You simply get an email listing one tip, on which you lay the horse.  There is a caveat that, if the lay odds exceed a certain amount (3.99), then you don’t place the bet, otherwise, you place the bet as late as you can.

That’s it, very simple stuff.

Now I’ll be honest up front and say, I am a little sceptical of this. The reason is simply because, how difficult can it be to choose one horse, out of an entire days racing, that is going to lose? I mean, it should be pretty easy right?

Well, I don’t know what decision making process Jason Matthews is using to generate his tip, however, I would be anticipating a pretty high hit rate with this. And that got me thinking, if he is putting effort into this, and studying form and results to choose a horse that is most likely to lose, then we should get better results than just randomly choosing a horse, shouldn’t we?

Well, because of that thinking, along with the official tip, I am also going to record the results of a random pick.  That is, I have a random number generator and it will pick a horse every day, completely randomly and see how I get on.  To be fair, I will keep the same restriction that, if the odds are greater than 4, then I won’t place the bet.

So, I’ve been recording results since the 1st of January and this trial will run for around 3 months. I will be using the BSP to determine the results and using £10 stakes.

So far there have been 14 days, but with the official tips, we have only placed 7 bets. That is because there have been 5 days that had no tip, and 2 days where the odds were over 3.99 so we didn’t place the bet. Of the 7 bets we placed, 5 bets won and 2 lost.  So, 2 losers already, that isn’t the great start that I was hoping for. So, 7 bets, strike rate of 71% and at £10 stakes the bank is at +£8.40.

What about our random selections.  Well, I have only had had 4 bets. The reason is that the odds of the horses that are being picked randomly are quite high, most of the time above our limit of 3.99. That means most of our bets are not being placed.  Anyway, so far, we had 3 bets that won, and 1 that lost. So, 75% strike rate. At £10 stakes our bank is just in profit at £0.80.

Very early days at the moment.  I’ll be providing updates every week or perhaps fortnightly. Lets hope we do well…

Beaumont’s Bets

A New Beginning

If you’ve been a reader for any length of time you’ll know that I rate Beamonts Bets as the most profitable horse racing service I’ve ever seen. I often get asked if it’s actually possible to make a full time living from betting on horses and Paul Beaumont and his subscribers have demonstrated that, yes, it is possible and they’re doing it!

Have a look at these results (points profit per month):

Aug-11 144.80
Sep-11 95.53
Oct-11 198.07
Nov-11 192.88
Dec-11 116.74
Jan-12 35.78
Feb-12 78.36
Mar-12 25.61
Apr-12 84.47
May-12 171.57
Jun-12 101.99
Jul-12 95.32
Aug-12 327.03
Sep-12 116.68
Oct-12 233.70
Nov-12 72.65
Dec-12 12.91
Jan-13 -83.86
Feb-13 39.45
Mar-13 64.80
Apr-13 132.36
May-13 29.94
Jun-13 96.99
Jul-13 190.73
Aug-13 31.78
Sep-13 150.23
Oct-13 53.04
Nov-13 21.15

Total 2830.70 points

That’s a total profit of £141,535 to £50 level stakes and you’ll notice there was only one losing month in the 28 months of the service.

For backing only, a betting bank of 200 points is recommended, however for those wishing to have a smoother ride without the ups and downs of losing runs, Pauls Back/Lay 75% system which involves laying off 75% of the bet on Betfair, requires only a 50 point bank and produced a remarkable 1590.59 points profit.

The service has been running for two and half years with subscribers happily paying £79 a month for the privilege of Paul’s daily wisdom.

So you can imagine my surprise when Paul sent the below e-mail to me in November:

“Good morning, Graham

I know this may come as a surprise to you but after 2½ years of providing the Beaumont’s bets service with a fair amount of success, I have decided to bring the service to a close. The reason is actually quite simple; I just want my life back. Having been tied to my computer for six mornings a week, I now feel, at my advanced age, I should be taking things a little easier.

Now, I have been asked many times whether I would host a seminar or something similar in order to explain how I make my selections. I know I went down the seminar route with the Beaumont method but that was actually for two very specific reasons. Firstly, I wanted to illustrate to a live audience in real time how I made money without risking any of my own and I also needed to keep the numbers low because with too many people having access to it, it simply wouldn’t work for anybody. By charging £2,000 per seat, as you know, we did certainly keep the numbers manageable. This, however, is not the case with Beaumont’s bets. In fact there is an argument for saying that the more people who do this the better, particularly for those like me who are waiting to place lay bets at the back end. I have decided therefore to put together a training DVD and also to produce a manual for those who may be interested in knowing what I do and how I do it. It’s really something I think people will understand and be able to do with a little practice.

When I produce the DVD, I will not only illustrate how I make the selections, but also what I do every morning in order to provide those selections to my subscribers. The reason I am doing it this way is this: I am not at all precious about what I do, inasmuch as there may be people who would use this in order to place their own bets, but may also have a desire to provide the selections to others, just as I did. This is perfectly OK with me, and, if someone wants to use the information in order to create their own betting advisory service, they have my unconditional blessing. The site will remain open and will be available should anyone wish to refer anyone else to it. All the results etc. will remain on the site. I have to say that being a “betting adviser”, even amongst just the people you know is fun. There are a couple of bars here in Lanzarote where my status is almost godlike. In fact in one bar I am known as the Messiah and people bow when I walk in. It’s very irreverent I know but it is fun and I enjoy it. I also, very rarely, have to buy a drink in these bars. After all, when you think about it, there are millions of people out there who have never even heard of Beaumont’s bets but would still appreciate a profitable and reliable betting service. There are also those who would be unable to make the selections at the time necessary but would still be happy to receive the selections a little later in the day.

As you know, Graham, I have made a sizeable amount of money since I started this, somewhere in excess of £200,000. Whilst most of it has come from actually placing my bets, a fair chunk of money, as you can testify, has also come from subscriptions to the service

So, there you have it, should anyone wish to use my method in order to make their own selections, that’s fine, but if they would like to extend this into a business (just as I did) then that’s fine also.

The timescale involved is that I will spend some time in December/January in England actually having the DVDs and the manuals produced, in order for everything to be available in January. I don’t actually recommend doing this in the worst of the winter months so I believe the beginning of February would be a good time for people to start.

Now, to cost; I wanted to price this at a level that I feel people would be able to afford without too much heart searching and so I have decided on £297 for everything, which is actually less than four months’ subscription to the service.

At this stage, I am only concerned with those people who would have an interest in owning this product. I need, obviously, some idea of how many to have produced. So, if this is something of interest to them, could you ask your readers to e-mail either you or me in order that I may have some idea of the numbers involved?

Best regards

So there you have it.

Paul has retired but made his complete method available on DVD. For a one off fee of £297  you can learn how to do this yourself without having to pay a monthly subscription. This means you can use the method whenever you like without having the pressure of having to do it to cover your subscription fees.

And it’s a method that is probably the most profitable you’ll ever use.

Autobetting is, as the name suggests, an automated betting service. For a monthly subscription you get a betting bot that you run on your VPS or leave running on your home computer and it will bet continuously 24/7.

It runs four different systems concurrently and once switched on there is nothing further to do. So this has been a nice, simple service to review.

I loaded the bot on my VPS on 16th August 2013 and left it running. There have been no problems at all.

The results (up to 14th December) are:

Autobetting 3 – 256 bets – 80 wins – SR 31.2% – LWS 5 – LLS 14 – Total -8.78 points

Autobetting 4 – 954 bets – 151 wins – SR 15.8% – LWS 3 – LLS 28 – Total +7.68 points

Autobetting 2 – 134 bets – 6 wins – SR 4.5% – LWS 1 – LLS 40 – Total +8.03 points

Autobetting 1 – ( From Sept 1st) – 603 bets – 116 wins – SR 19.2% – LWS 4 – LLS 26 – Total +166.24 points

The Autobetting System 1 actually started from September 1st and clearly is the one on the money. You can choose to run just one system or all of them, for the same price, it’s up to you.

Based on the results to date I am happy to categorise this service as Approved.Approved2

I will update this service in another three months.

Horse Laying Professionals

I’ve been personally using this service since 22nd May this year, betting £25 level stakes, and it’s made me £1,355.92 profit after Betfair commission which I’m more than happy with as it takes literally two minutes a day to place the bets.

Last month was another profitable month with 5.19 points profit after commission.

Tennis Trading League

Hello Everyone,

This is my final review of the Trading Tips selections for Patrick Ross’ Tennis Trading League.

The service is for trading tennis matches, with selections being advised to initially back or lay, with exit prices advised. The selections are posted to a members’ area, with an email to confirm that a posting has been made.

The emails usually arrived in good time for the matches being played. There were only a couple of exceptions to this, which over a sixty-day period is not overly unacceptable.

When I originally started this review, I showed the costs of this service in Euros. The page that I originally saw has now been changed to sterling. Those costs are:

Silver: £10 per month
Gold: £69 per year
Platinum (lifetime membership): £99

The selections were (and still are) advised without a stop loss. However there is a help section with how to calculate where your stop loss should be.

If you have followed this review from the beginning, then you will know that I reported the selections as full losses, up to September 4th, during the U S Open. Patrick contacted me to say that this was incorrect, and that he was constantly reminding members of the stop loss. During the early days of this review, I had not seen any such reminder.

I created a spreadsheet for myself to help with this review, to show what the stop loss would be based in the entry point that I had. I forwarded the spreadsheet to Patrick, so that it could be made available to his members, and has been published on his website.

The period of this review, after the change in the stop loss, ran from 5th September to October 27th. The results of the review were:

Selections: 323
Wins: 182 (19 void)
Loss: -£84.60

During the review, the tennis circus decamped to the Far East, and there were a number of matches that I was just unable to follow as they were taking place during the early hours. Having thought about how those matches went, they do not affect the overall performance.

With matches taking place at these hours, if you wanted to follow all of the selections all of the time, you would need to turn nocturnal at some times of the year.

For a service costing £10 per month, the loss made during the review period is not disasterous, but when conducting a review, with a strike rate over 55%, the performance has not come up to what you would like to expect.

However, the review has to be judged by the results, there is only one category where the results fit. That is the failed category.Failed

If you wish to do so, you can join Patrick’s service here:

RM Lays

When I last posted I said I would wait a few days to see what the situation was with RM Lays and whether any more selections would be sent out. Well, there haven’t been any selections so we can safely say that RM Lays is no more.

To be fair to the people at Tipster Warehouse they did ‘upgrade’ RM Lays members to another service given the very poor performance of RM Lays. Whilst I applaud the gesture it seemed to come right at the 11th and a half hour as the bank was virtually non-existent by this time.

The trial got off on a poor footing and was never likely to recover given the number of horses getting past the post in first place. This was brought into stark realisation on 05 November when Kindu came in first at a BSP of 39.61. This decimated the bank even further until there was little point in carrying on.Failed

As the service is no longer available we can only rate it as failed.

RM Lays

Tuesday 05 November

Well the fireworks were probably flying yesterday in the RM Lays office. The recent poor results of this service were dealt a killer blow yesterday with a high odds outsider getting their nose past the post in first place. As a result I received an email from Tipster Warehouse to say that they were acting after the recent poor performance and upgrading RM Lays members to another service. So, it is unlikely that more selections from RM Lays will be made available. I will update when I know exactly what the situation is.

12:40 Southwell: Just Five: 5th at 19 = £9.50
13:10 Southwell: George Benjamin: 14th at 13.5 = £9.50
14:10 Southwell: Stoney Quine: 1st at 8.3 = £-73.00
14:40 Southwell: Kinkohyo: 6th at 15.39 = £9.50
16:10 Southwell: Jiminy: 4th at 5.54 = £9.50
17:00 Kempton: Kindu: 1st at 39.61 = £-386.10
17:30 Kempton: Emperical: 4th at 6 = £9.50

Daily Total: -£411.60

Running Total: £71.40
