Profitable Lays

I am looking at Profitable Lays, a system selling normally for £97 (currently £67!) by Chris Adams. As the name suggests this is a horse racing laying system with three very simple rules. The logic appears to be quite sound, so I am looking forward to a successful trial.

The results look encouraging with only 2 losing months since May 2010, and approaching 520 points profit in that same time period.

The system is very mechanical, and is fire-and-forget, so you could place the bets before work in the morning and relax for the rest of the day.

One caveat though; selections are made using the Racing Post. Because the RP Website can remove non-runners if declared early enough and adjust the forecast odds on the remaining horses, the racecard can differ between the online and printed versions. Selections are taken from the printed version (so you may need to purchase the RP), or just use Chris’ selections site. I suspect that, if you subscribe to RP online and you make your selections the night before you won’t have too many variations with the printed version. I will be using the selections site though.

It’s worth noting that if you buy the system then all the daily selections are provided for free in a members page, so you are effectively getting lifetime access to a tipping service too for a one off fee of, currently, £67.

I will be using Betfair SPs to calculate the odds.

So, let’s get on with the trial.

Here’s the site:

Champion Racing Platinum

A few weeks ago I mentioned that the Champion Racing Lays system was available for free. Today Andrew Costa, the author and brains behind Champion Racing Platinum, has has just released a betting bot that promises the following:

* Tested on a total of 3,769 selections

* Fully Automated Hands Free Lay Betting Horse Racing Solution

* Level Stakes – From 2,432 total bets, from which there were 1,909 winning lays and 523 losses for a strike rate of 78.5%

* Staking Plan – From 1,337 total bets, from which there were 944 winning lays and 393 losses for a strike rate of 70.6%.

* Full System giveaway and walkthrough video.

* Full 30 Day No Risk Test Drive.

* Excellent customer support with daily updated emails.

He’s done a 20 minute video explaining the whole thing and it comes with full results history as well.

I will be getting a copy myself and of course testing it out thoroughly, however he is only releasing a limited number so by the time I’ve reviewed it, it will no longer be available.

If this interests you then I suggest you take the test drive as well with the 30 day no risk guarantee, and then at least then you’ll know as much as I do.

Go and have a look here:

Beaumonts Bets

If you’ve ever used a racing service before, you’ll know that it’s doing well if it’s making you 5-10 points profit a month.

Most have up and down months, so some months you win money, other months you lose money, and the hope is that over the course of a year you can make 50 to 60 points profit.

Do your own research and you’ll see this is the norm. In fact most racing services struggle to even make that.

But then there’s Beaumonts Bets.

If there was ever a racing service that could break the mould, it’s this one.

Paul aims to make a profit each month of at least 24 points using just an 80 point bank. That means, if he achieves this, you will get a return of 30% on your bank each and every month. If you were to reinvest part, or all, of your winnings the growth on the bank is staggering.

But Paul hasn’t been achieving 24 points a month. This is what he’s done for the last four months:

August: 88.98 points
September: 95.55 points
October 117.69 points
November: 97.10 points

Total: 399.32 points

As you can see, he’s averaged 100 points a month, on an 80 point bank.

Using his Back/Lay 75% method, where you lay off 75% of each bet before the off, you generally only risk a quarter of one point per bet too.

So if you were betting in £50 stakes (£12.50 at risk), the profit since August is £19,966.

Twenty grand for four months work. And I do mean work too, which is why this won’t be for everyone. Just like having a job, you have to make sure you are ready at your computer every morning from 10.30 until 12.30, with only a couple of tea breaks in that time.

If that’s too much effort then this won’t be for you, and you would be better off getting a job that pays more than that for two hours work a day. (Good luck with that!)

Now for the bad news.

Paul’s service has, understandably, become quite popular. Check out the testimonial page on the site and you will see there are a lot of very happy campers.

But…

There is a downside to becoming too popular and that’s the effect it will have on the bookmaker prices with too many people backing the same horses at the same time.

Paul does this for a living, along with a group of like-minded individuals with the good sense to follow his lead. So he is not going to do anything to jeopardise this for himself and his members.

In light of this, Paul has been keeping a very close eye on the bookmaker prices and feels he may well be coming close to an optimum membership level. Once this level is reached Paul will be closing the service to new members and will set up a waiting list for anyone else wanting to join. From then on, a place will only be offered if and when an existing member leaves, and this will be on a first come, first served basis.

Currently there are a few places left so if you’ve been sitting on the fence wondering if this is for you then now would be a good time to give it a try. The first month’s subscription is fully refundable if you try it and decide it’s not for you.

Boys Beat Girls

Following on the coat-tail of Grahams’ recent posting – I thought I might show the evidence garnered thus far…

I have not had the email selections  (which you will get for the first 6 months included in your subscription) – but I have applied the selection criteria and these are the results  (have used a 5% rolling stake applied on a daily basis, start bank of £200) :

18/11/2011	16:05	Cockney Rhyme £10.00	4.1 £9.50
18/11/2011	19:25	Azores £10.00	2.01 £9.50
18/11/2011	19:55	Anna Montana £10.00	3.55 £9.50
19/11/2011	13:15	Poppy	LNG £11.43	4.5 £10.86
19/11/2011	21:20	Beauchamp Xara	WLV	£11.43	3.5 £10.86
22/11/2011	13:40	Midnight Waltz	STH	£12.51	4.49 £11.88
23/11/2011	13:05	Triple Charm	LNG	£13.11	3	1	-£26.22
23/11/2011	18:35	Clinical	KMP	£13.11	4.65 £12.45
24/11/2011	16:40	Galacian	KMP	£12.42	2.46	1	-£18.13
24/11/2011	18:10	Perfect Art	KMP	£12.42 £11.80
25/11/2011	19:55	Aloof DDK	£12.10	1.7	1	-£8.47
25/11/2011	20:50	Flavia Tatiana	DDK	£12.10 £11.50

Strike Rate :  75%

Balance : £245.03

As you can see the liability on the losing lays is not savage, with lay selections not exceeding a price of  5.

As most of you probably already know, the form fact of ‘boys’ being a more consistent backing proposition  than ‘girls’ in the horse racing arena at least, is what underpins this system and whilst most definitely not a new system to  exploit this statistical fact there are  specific differences in the selection criteria of this particular system,  that in theory should back up the profitability claimed by  the creator, Nick.

Get your skates on though because – the clock is ticking but with the no quibble money back guarantee I feel that for a modest punt for those  first few weeks you have little to lose on the strength of what I have seen thus far.

Boys Beat Girls

Nick has almost sold all the copies of the Boys Beat Girls system so if you were sitting on the fence on this one then just remember, it comes with a rock solid 21 day money back guarantee, so it’s worth having a go with.

So basically, it’s a straightforward laying system which is quick and simple and produces around one bet a day with very good long term profits.

Grey Horse Bot Supersonic Lays

We’ve had four losing bets in the last few weeks with Supersonic lays, which is a shame since it hadn’t had a single losing bet in the previous six months.

I have mine set to risk 10% of my bank on each bet so my original £500 betting bank now stands at £476.41 which is £23.59 in the red since October.

I’m actually quite pleased about this because if the system can stand four losing bets in quick succession and still leave my bank pretty much intact then it bodes well for what it can do when it doesn’t have a bad run.

I’ll do another update next month.

KIP Betting Bot

It’s been a bad month for the KIP bot, on my settings anyway.

I started with a betting bank of £1200 in July playing with £1 stakes but quickly moved to £5 stakes (level staking). I increased this to £10 stakes in August, and then £20 stakes in September, making steady profits all the time. By October my £1200 bank had increased to £2400, which is exactly £1200 profit on a bot that did everything automatically.

I increased my stakes again to £25 and then it went downhill. The last few weeks the bot has given back all my winnings, plus £500 of my original bank, which now stands at £715.

This is quite a shocking down turn. On a personal level, I’m only really £500 out of pocket because my starting bank was £1200. But had I started using the bot a month ago, the actual loss is £1685 with £25 level stakes, or 67 points.

I’m not sure what size bank is recommended for this but even using a 100 point bank, that’s a big hit to take in a month.

Let’s see how it pans out for the rest of the year.

I’m going to move this bot to the Neutral section for now and do another update next month.
