Profitable Lays

Sorry folks, must still be jet lagged. I double –checked these results with Graham yesterday and STILL got them wrong! In this case, misread the odds column and took the wrong price. I have given myself detention and will write “I must do better” 100 times.

Right, here are the amended results:

Day 1 – 4 December : Today +0.50 points.

Day 2 – 5 December : Today -4.94 points. Total -4.44 points.

Day 3 – 6 December : Today -5.69 points. Total -10.13 points.

Day 4 – 7 December : Today -5.01 points. Total -15.14 points.

And yesterday’s result is:

Day 5 – 8 December : Today +2.75 points. Total -12.39 points.

Profitable Lays

I am looking at Profitable Lays, a system selling normally for £97 (currently £67!) by Chris Adams. As the name suggests this is a horse racing laying system with three very simple rules. The logic appears to be quite sound, so I am looking forward to a successful trial.

The results look encouraging with only 2 losing months since May 2010, and approaching 520 points profit in that same time period.

The system is very mechanical, and is fire-and-forget, so you could place the bets before work in the morning and relax for the rest of the day.

One caveat though; selections are made using the Racing Post. Because the RP Website can remove non-runners if declared early enough and adjust the forecast odds on the remaining horses, the racecard can differ between the online and printed versions. Selections are taken from the printed version (so you may need to purchase the RP), or just use Chris’ selections site. I suspect that, if you subscribe to RP online and you make your selections the night before you won’t have too many variations with the printed version. I will be using the selections site though.

It’s worth noting that if you buy the system then all the daily selections are provided for free in a members page, so you are effectively getting lifetime access to a tipping service too for a one off fee of, currently, £67.

I will be using Betfair SPs to calculate the odds.

So, let’s get on with the trial.

Here’s the site:

I am trying this service from Matt Bisogno, which targets what he calls the Super Trainers. From my first day, it seems there will be plenty of selections to follow and although he doesn’t pretend to a high strike rate, the odds at which he chooses to bet should give a decent return as long as there are a few winners.

I don’t propose to report each day, with the likely strike rate it will need time to breathe so I’ll report every few days. Today, we had 14 selections, three of which didn’t make the qualifying odds and of that remaining 11 we had 10 losers. However, the one winner came at 8/1 so the deficit was only 2 pts. Let’s see how it goes.

Champion Racing Platinum

A few weeks ago I mentioned that the Champion Racing Lays system was available for free. Today Andrew Costa, the author and brains behind Champion Racing Platinum, has has just released a betting bot that promises the following:

* Tested on a total of 3,769 selections

* Fully Automated Hands Free Lay Betting Horse Racing Solution

* Level Stakes – From 2,432 total bets, from which there were 1,909 winning lays and 523 losses for a strike rate of 78.5%

* Staking Plan – From 1,337 total bets, from which there were 944 winning lays and 393 losses for a strike rate of 70.6%.

* Full System giveaway and walkthrough video.

* Full 30 Day No Risk Test Drive.

* Excellent customer support with daily updated emails.

He’s done a 20 minute video explaining the whole thing and it comes with full results history as well.

I will be getting a copy myself and of course testing it out thoroughly, however he is only releasing a limited number so by the time I’ve reviewed it, it will no longer be available.

If this interests you then I suggest you take the test drive as well with the 30 day no risk guarantee, and then at least then you’ll know as much as I do.

Go and have a look here:

Beaumonts Bets

If you’ve ever used a racing service before, you’ll know that it’s doing well if it’s making you 5-10 points profit a month.

Most have up and down months, so some months you win money, other months you lose money, and the hope is that over the course of a year you can make 50 to 60 points profit.

Do your own research and you’ll see this is the norm. In fact most racing services struggle to even make that.

But then there’s Beaumonts Bets.

If there was ever a racing service that could break the mould, it’s this one.

Paul aims to make a profit each month of at least 24 points using just an 80 point bank. That means, if he achieves this, you will get a return of 30% on your bank each and every month. If you were to reinvest part, or all, of your winnings the growth on the bank is staggering.

But Paul hasn’t been achieving 24 points a month. This is what he’s done for the last four months:

August: 88.98 points
September: 95.55 points
October 117.69 points
November: 97.10 points

Total: 399.32 points

As you can see, he’s averaged 100 points a month, on an 80 point bank.

Using his Back/Lay 75% method, where you lay off 75% of each bet before the off, you generally only risk a quarter of one point per bet too.

So if you were betting in £50 stakes (£12.50 at risk), the profit since August is £19,966.

Twenty grand for four months work. And I do mean work too, which is why this won’t be for everyone. Just like having a job, you have to make sure you are ready at your computer every morning from 10.30 until 12.30, with only a couple of tea breaks in that time.

If that’s too much effort then this won’t be for you, and you would be better off getting a job that pays more than that for two hours work a day. (Good luck with that!)

Now for the bad news.

Paul’s service has, understandably, become quite popular. Check out the testimonial page on the site and you will see there are a lot of very happy campers.

But…

There is a downside to becoming too popular and that’s the effect it will have on the bookmaker prices with too many people backing the same horses at the same time.

Paul does this for a living, along with a group of like-minded individuals with the good sense to follow his lead. So he is not going to do anything to jeopardise this for himself and his members.

In light of this, Paul has been keeping a very close eye on the bookmaker prices and feels he may well be coming close to an optimum membership level. Once this level is reached Paul will be closing the service to new members and will set up a waiting list for anyone else wanting to join. From then on, a place will only be offered if and when an existing member leaves, and this will be on a first come, first served basis.

Currently there are a few places left so if you’ve been sitting on the fence wondering if this is for you then now would be a good time to give it a try. The first month’s subscription is fully refundable if you try it and decide it’s not for you.

WEEK 4

Well, sad to say the downward trend has continued and currently we have gone into the red, which is fine at this early stage as these things can happen from time to time. Although one thing that hasnt given me too much confidence is that earlier in the week (presumably owing to the poor  sequence of results in the last couple of weeks), Paul has changed the way the software filters work – which I find rather alarming. The system appears to have been live only since last month (with a proofed 30 point profit),  so still somewhat in its infancy, but I would have thought refinements to filters should really have been addressed prior to release to the public, wouldnt you?

Herewith, this weeks results:

(21st  Nov: -1.6 pts / 22nd Nov :  -3pts / (system filters changed) 23rd Nov : -17.5 pts / 24th Nov : -20pts / 25th Nov :+2.5pts / 26th Nov :  +12.75 pts/ 27th Nov : -0.3 pts)

Total Points Profit : -11.8
Selections : 149 / Wins : 40  / Strike Rate : 26.85%
