Day 7 –20 January
A very good day.
The service was stopped at 16:45, however the last trade was opened at 11:34 and closed at 15:12. Paul states that there weren’t any more qualifying signals after this close.
The average variance between Paul’s signals and my entries was 0.5 pips.
I think there may have been some errors in the spread sheet formulae that calculate the daily totals. This figure below is correct…until I find the next error!

Day 5 –18 January
Another difficult one to summarise. Headline is 39 pips up for the day bit this does not tell the whole story. Early birds will have caught a nice move for 80-ish pips and the service was 144 pips at one stage. People should have stopped trading at that point as 100 pips, or 50 pip targets had easily been achieved.
However I keep recording the signals so that anyone thinking of only using this service at lunchtime or in the afternoon can see whether it is worth their while. It is interesting to note that the lunchtime session is in profit, just, but never the less…!
One last comment on the day; Paul caught a massive move around some news at 9:30. This could easily have gone the other way and put a different light on today. I need more data before deciding whether this was luck or whether this was due to Paul’s trading strategy.
The service was stopped at 17:00 although there were no signals after 14:39.
The average variance between Paul’s signals and my entries was 1 pip.
Due to server issues signal-to-signal service was unavailable most of the day. In its place we had a trade and stop strategy instead, hence the raw data shows a couple of close signals.

I must admit to being undecided how to describe today. My personal trading plan does not allow me to trade on US Bank Holidays, so if I was trading TEC Live I would have had a no trade day.
However Paul has called some signals today; I suppose that means he expected his members to follow them and therefore I have added them to the running totals. Paul’s first signal wasn’t until late in the morning, and he stopped early afternoon. Further I opened a trade that I should not have opened this morning; I heard the buzzer and opened a BUY but as I was not listening to the chat I did not know this signal was due to an “indicator reset”. I have included this trade in the results too because I did open it.
All we can do is hope that the return to what should be normal ForEx markets tomorrow will see us return to the sort of profits seen in early December.
The service was stopped at 15:39 although I was a few minutes late.
Paul did not show the entry points of the last trade on the signals page. Allowing for that, the average variance between Paul’s signals and my entries was 0.7 pips.

Trading suspended, I believe for two days, due to some nastiness (and that is a very mild word for what has gone on here) that requires Police investigation. Paul has promised that this will not affect the subscription in any way.
If, and perhaps when, the service is resumed I will continue with the reports.

Day 3 –12 January
No disguising it, not that I would, a very bad day.
My personal daily stop-loss is three times the trade stop-losses. This kind of follows a “three strikes” rule. I posted my stop-losses per trade yesterday, so my daily stops are Scalp 10 pips strategy: 3 x 15 pips, Scalp 15 pip strategy: 2 x 20 pips, and Signal-2-Signal is 3 x 40 pips on GBP/USD. These stops were taken out at 12:33 so that is the limit of today’s loss. To be fair, Paul suggested ceasing trading several hours earlier, and I had heeded that advice my loses would have been roughly halved.
I am judging the success or failure of this service based on Scalp 15 pip strategy plus Signal-2-Signal. So far my experience has been:
Day 1: -48.30 and -40.10 for -88.40 pips
Day 2: +60.90 and 62.40 for +123.30 pips
Day 3: -77.60 and -115.70 for -193.30 pips (-158.4 pips overall, or -£1584)
The service was stopped at 15:35 as the markets just wouldn’t play ball with Paul today at all (as the raw data below indicates).
Paul did not show the entry points of the last trade on the signals page. Allowing for that, the average variance between Paul’s signals and my entries was -0.1 pips, so I got slightly better prices than Paul.

It’s a little difficult to match my results with Paul’s but signal-to-signal it appears I missed around 80 pips of profit, which would make one hell of a difference to the figures. The scalps would probably remain in negative territory but reduced by around 20 pips. There were also so teething troubles with the MetaTrader script I have developed to close existing TEC trades and open new ones which account for some of the loses too.
There were some technical difficulties in the morning to do with the beeps and boings that can be used to manage the trades. However, the average variance between Paul’s published signals and the entries I took on SmartLive Markets MetaTrader was 0.7 pips.

Just before Christmas Graham invited us to join the Trading Elite Club run by Paul (aka PappaC) for a monthly subscription of £100. The Trading Elite is a signal service where you buy and sell Foreign Exchange (Forex). You need a broker or a spread betting account which allows you to make the trades, Betfair is not a suitable vehicle for this. However, you can start with funds as low as £100, but don’t expect to cover the subscription fees for a month or two. One caveat: profits made with brokers will incur tax, but are tax-free with spread betting companies, but spreads may be better with brokers. There are some tutorial videos on the Trading Elite Club website and a welcome pack you must read/watch if you are new to Forex trading.
The service started in mid-December and has a few (to put it mildly) teething issues. Hopefully these are behind us now, so, with that in mind I have no intention of recording or discussing recent history; I will start with a £10,000 bank to allow for £10 per pip trading from Monday 10th Jan.
Paul’s intention is to offer signals from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. each trading day. Therefore I won’t be able to follow every trade Paul makes. What I can do is record the trades I do make. This will more closely follow how most people will use Paul’s service as with work and family commitments not many people will follow Paul’s trades 11 hours per day either.
Please note that this is an independent review, I do not make any money from this blog. I feel that given comments made elsewhere that this statement needs to be made.
Happy New Year to all readers.

Well it’s another beautiful day here in sunny Cape Town and I have been enjoying strolling around in shorts and t-shirt with factor 30 on my bonce. I wasn’t planning on doing any ‘work’ whilst away but I couldn’t resist checking in to see how Pappa C has been getting on this week.
Anyone that knows anything about trading knows that you don’t trade forex at this time of year because the markets are just too unpredictable. Well, Pappa C is a renegade and does just about the opposite of what everyone else does when it comes to trading, and since 85% of people lose money at trading I guess that’s why.
So how did he get on in the first week?
He made over 200 points profit, or over two thousand pounds at ten pounds a point. So that just goes to show he certainly brings home the bacon when everyone else has called it a day.
