Having set up the advised Orders this morning as per txt, I checked back at 11.30, to find that my chart had gapped completely from 10.45 – 11.10, with no prices shown during that time. I was, however, opened at 11.13am at a price 5 pips higher than requested. This subsequently closed at 1.30pm, with a gain of just 7 pips, after spread.
The annoying thing about this, apart from my small return, is that one of my correspondents told me his trade on another platform had opened at 10.54 and closed at 10.57 with the full 13 pips. His complete trade took place in the time I was gapped out, so I am wondering just what happened. Is it that demo accounts don’t keep up with sudden moves? If so, one wonders how viable such a test as this is on demo, with readers saying they have had different results.
For myself, I am not prepared to review any new service or system while trading live and can only report what I see. I can understand a bit of slippage, though 5 pips is too much anyway and gaps such as this morning’s are unacceptable when others don’t suffer them. I’ll change platforms.

Another successful long trade this morning for 11 pips. Opened at 9.40 and closed at 10.15am, thus maintaining a 100% strike rate. Since the service only claims an 82% success ratio, we must be prepared for some correction at some stage – but this is nice while it lasts.
The service provider has reminded me that he recommends using a 2.5% compounding staking plan and of course, as long as the service stays in profit, such a staking plan will increase your profits nicely, with minimal risk. In fact, with such a strike rate, I would regard 2.5% risk as quite modest and very prudent.
With a 30-day free trial, there’s really no reason not to try this:

Usual text at 8.57am but FTSE didn’t oblige, price not moving far enough either way to trigger a trade, so both Orders were cancelled at 11.30am, as per instructions. Total of pips for the week is 33.

Forex Fortune Signal
I will be trialing another ForEx signal service for the next few weeks, receiving signals via email.
This service is very simple when there is a trade opportunity, you enter the trades in a suitable spread-betting program and leave it to activate when conditions are met. Your stoploss and profit targets are contained within the signal. Where the stoploss is moved to protect profits, further emails are received.
The service hasn’t launched yet (it is due to at the end of May). I am told that there will be a week’s free trial and that the subscription will be $97 per month (about £60 at current exchange rates).
I started following this service on the 5th May. Below are results from the website, but these cannot be verified by me.
