Another very good couple of days. If this is what they are capable of when they take a week off to research results then they should do it more often. Previous result on the Betfan site look disappointing and it didn’t get off to a great start with us but since the Olympics started it’s put on 25.43 points and won 12 out of 15 bets.

There were no tips provided during the week as the owners were preparing and researching ahead of the Olympics.
We did have some tips for today and very successful they were too with 6 winners out of 7 bets advised.

For the next month I’m going to be casting an eye over Ace Betting Club. This is a tennis tipster service and from what I’ve seen so far it’s just outright win bets, no trading to be done.
The bets arrive via an email but there is also a Tip Centre website you can log into just incase an email does not get through.
You are advised to have a 200 point starting bank and bets are supplied with a points value to stake.
Looking back over the results of the last few months published on the Betfan website, this service looks to have had a rough time lately and hasn’t got off to a great start with me either.

In the email for today’s bets, the author says that as the Olympics gets underway next weekend they will be researching possible bets for that tournament and will not be covering the Los Angeles ATP Event.
I’m not a follower of tennis so I don’t know whether that means we have no bets all week or if they will be covering another event later in the week.

This is a one off review of Total tennis trading, a product from the same stable as the approved Total Football Trading.
The package consists of eight different trading strategies and costs $77 (roughly £50), so expensive this isn’t! Each strategy appears well thought out and there is also a guide on factors to consider should you want to develop your own strategies.
One thing you may need to consider is the times that Tennis tends to be played. During the summer, many tennis matches are played during the afternoon and early evenings. These are trading strategies so you need to be able to watch the ebb and flow of the odds movements. Later the scene moves to the US, but this will mean some late nights, and very early mornings when the Australian tournaments are being played.
As stated above, there are eight different strategies: 3 for beginners, 2 for intermediate traders and 3 for advanced traders. Most of these strategies appear to me to be (very) different form the TradeShark tennis trading strategies.
The beginner’s strategies have been around a while, but there are some new angles introduced here that should make them worthwhile. I have seen one of the advanced strategies before too. Please do not misunderstand me, I play “Lay The Draw” in football and still do so successfully even though people tell me to this day that this strategy no longer works! That some of these strategies have been around a while does not devalue them!
I like the way each strategy is presented. You get the logic behind the strategy, clear instructions on how to select a qualifying match followed by clear instructions on entry and exits, including stop loss. Each strategy is also supported with examples.
There’s a section on staking and money management too. If you are new to trading then you will need to Google some articles on trading psychology though. Having the correct trader’s psychology is a major component in being a consistently successful trader!
So, a set of what appears to be well thought out strategies, one or more which should suit you if you want to get in to tennis trading. I am happy to APPROVE this on that basis.

Betting Tips UK – Final Review
Having completed two months of trials it is time to wrap up and review this service.
This review is based on Betting Tips UK’s flagship service – Multi-Sports Betting. With this service I have followed bets on football, tennis, cricket, darts, Snooker and even Celebrity Big Brother! Betting Tips UK is unusual in as much as you only pay for winning bets. You do this by buying tokens for £2 with a sliding reduction down to a minimum of £1.50 if you buy in bulk. For Multi-Sports Betting you can decide whether to pay a token for each winning bet, or pay-on-performance where a token is deducted for every 0.25 points of profit. Pay-on-performance returns tokens if a loss is made.
I finished 2.85 points up, but because I haven’t used Best Odds Guaranteed (BOG) through the trial there is a difference between my results and those of Betting Tips UK of 2.1 points.
Betting Tips UK suggest £25 per point off a £500 bank, and £50 per point of a £1,000 bank.
Using Betting Tips UK’s points tally and £50 per point, July grossed £1,114 and August £247. From this your tokens are deducted: 58 tokens for July (71 wins but some bets were discounted) and 61 for August. This leaves net profits of £1,027 in July and £156.00 for August using £1.50 per token.
A profit of £1,200 from a £1,000 bank after fees have been deducted is none too shabby and easily results in an approved rating. Unverified results for June also show a tidy profit of around 16 points too.
Two “howevers” though: 61 tokens, even at £1.50 per token, is roughly £90 for the service for a month; the service has been over 8 points down (on my figures) and at £50 per point that is a hefty chunk of bank. Neither of these worries me as the fees have been easily cleared, and the service returned to profit. I mention this as you need to note that you need the discipline to stick with your trading plan.
I believe Pay-on-performance would have deducted something like 90 tokens in July (£135) and 20 tokens (£30) in August. Swings and roundabouts here, good months you pay more but then your profit is that much greater, and in poor months you pay less. I do not have a preferred payment model.
You can also allocate tokens to a Horse Racing service. Only starting on 3rd August this service stands at +16.98 points with a 47.7% strike rate at average odds of 2.60 with the longest losing streak of 6 bets. Pay-On-Wins is the only payment model available, and 41 tokens have been deducted. Of itself that is very impressive; at £50 per point the profit is £849 gross for a net of £787.50 at £1.50 per token. However Betting Tips UK recommends using a loss recovery stake plan with this service. Neither Betting Tips UK nor I recommend which stake plan to use; you will have to find your own!
Likewise you can also allocate tokens to a Football service. Only starting on 3rd August this service stands at -11.54 points with a 49.3% strike rate at average odds of 1.84 with the longest losing streak of 4 bets. Pay-On-Wins is the only payment model available, and 37 tokens have been deducted. Again Betting Tips UK recommends using a loss recovery stake plan with this service. Neither Betting Tips UK nor I recommend which stake plan to use; you will have to find your own! With such a high strike rate and short losing sequence a profit from this service is easily achievable.
So the flagship service is approved, but the secondary services are also approved, although some effort to find a suitable stake plan is required. Both the secondary services are optional if you don’t want to research stake plans.

There have been 61 wins in August for which 61 tokens have been deducted. Hence fees of £91.50 (at £1.50 per token) or £122.00 (at £2 per token) need to be factored in. At £25 per point then the profit is £71.29 gross for nets of £-20.21 at £1.50 per token and £-50.71 at £2.00 per token. At £50 per point then the profit is £142.58 gross for nets of £51.08 at £1.50 per token and £20.58 at £2.00 per token.
Possibly due to the fact that I am recording prices available when I receive the advice and do not account for Best Odds Guaranteed (BOG) there is a slight variance between my points total and those shown by BTUK of 2.1 points. BTUK do advise using BOG Bookies, and their advice does indicate the bets Bookies to use to place the bets. Using BTUK’s points total at £25 per point then the profit is £123.75 gross for nets of £32.25 at £1.50 per token and £1.75 at £2.00 per token. At £50 per point then the profit is £247.5 gross for nets of £156.00 at £1.50 per token and £125.50 at £2.00 per token.
There were 71 wins in July, however only 58 tokens were deducted, so fees of £87.00 (at £1.50 per token) or £116.00 (at £2 per token) need to be factored in. At £25 per point then the profit is £557.23 gross for nets of £470.23 at £1.50 per token and £441.23 at £2.00 per token. At £50 per point then the profit is £1,114.46 gross for nets of £1,027.46 at £1.50 per token and £998.46 at £2.00 per token.

Thanks to reader catweazle for pointing out an error in Sunday’s results where I had shown a “Hamilton to finish Top 3” bet as a winner. This removes 2.30 points of profit and adds a further 1 point loss. The Totals below reflect this adjustment.

There have been 59 wins in August for which 59 tokens have been deducted. Hence fees of £88.50 (at £1.50 per token) or £118.00 (at £2 per token) need to be factored in. At £25 per point then the profit is £78.15 gross for nets of £-10.35 at £1.50 per token and £-39.85 at £2.00 per token. At £50 per point then the profit is £156.3 gross for nets of £67.79 at £1.50 per token and £38.29 at £2.00 per token.
Possibly due to the fact that I am recording prices available when I receive the advice and do not account for Best Odds Guaranteed (BOG) there is a slight variance between my points total and those shown by BTUK of 2.09 points. BTUK do advise using BOG Bookies, and their advice does indicate the bets Bookies to use to place the bets. Using BTUK’s points total at £25 per point then the profit is £130.5 gross for nets of £42.00 at £1.50 per token and £12.50 at £2.00 per token. At £50 per point then the profit is £261 gross for nets of £172.50 at £1.50 per token and £143.00 at £2.00 per token.

There have been 52 wins in August for which 52 tokens have been deducted. Hence fees of £78.00 (at £1.50 per token) or £104.00 (at £2 per token) need to be factored in. At £25 per point then the profit is £-44.59 gross for nets of £-122.59 at £1.50 per token and £-148.59 at £2.00 per token. At £50 per point then the profit is £-89.18 gross for nets of £-167.18 at £1.50 per token and £-193.18 at £2.00 per token.

BTUK do advise using BOG Bookies, and their advice does indicate the bets Bookies to use to place the bets. Using BTUK’s points total at £25 per point then the profit is £7.75 gross for nets of £-70.25 at £1.50 per token and £-96.25 at £2.00 per token. At £50 per point then the profit is £15.5 gross for nets of £-62.50 at £1.50 per token and £-88.50 at £2.00 per token.
Pay On Performance option deducts 1 token for every 0.25 points profit. This equates to 0 tokens. At £25 per point then the profit is £-44.59 and at £50 per point then the profit is £-89.18.
There were 71 wins in July, however only 58 tokens were deducted, so fees of £87.00 (at £1.50 per token) or £116.00 (at £2 per token) need to be factored in. HORSE RACING SERVICE: The service stands at 13.6.There have been 34 wins (47.2% at average odds of 2.65) since the start of the service on 3rd August for which 34 tokens have been deducted. Hence fees of £51.00 (at £1.50 per token) or £68.00 (at £2 per token) need to be factored in. The longest losing streak is 6.
However, level stakes is not the recommended way to use this service and Betting Tips UK invites their users to find a suitable stake plan.
FOOTBALL SERVICE: The Service stands at -16.24. There have been 30 wins (44.8% at average odds of 1.84) since the start of the service on 3rd August for which 30 tokens have been deducted. Hence fees of £45.00 (at £1.50 per token) or £60.00 (at £2 per token) need to be factored in. The longest losing streak is 4.
However, level stakes is not the recommended way to use this service and Betting Tips UK invites their users to find a suitable stake plan.
Please remember that neither the Horse Racing nor the Football services count towards the final review, as Multi-Sports Betting is the main focus of this trial.
