Hello everyone, I am running a test on 20 -20 Cricket Trading from Steve Davidsons portfolio of systems from Australia.

The system comes as a six-page e-book, and contains a number of worked examples from the recent Indian Premier League held in South Africa.

Without giving too much of the system away, the general premise of the system is to lay one of the teams at a particular odds level, and the back again once odds have raised to a certain point. However, should odds not rise to this point, a back bet is placed to restrict some of the loss, and the stake on the next bet increased in percentage terms of the bank as a method of recovery.

The e-book doesnt recommend a minimum betting bank, so I have decided to use a bank of £1000, and see how things go from there.

I have had the system since Monday, and have been watching the odds fluctuating in the games between Bangladesh versus Ireland and New Zealand versus South Africa, both of which would have resulted in winning trades. I wasnt able to follow the Australia vs Sri Lanka game, and the Netherlands versus Pakistan did not qualify.

Anyway on to todays matches:

Sri Lanka vs West Indies

Loss: £5.45
Bank: £994.55

India vs Ireland

Match does not meet system criteria.

Tennis Trading League

TENNIS TRADING LEAGUE
Reviewed by Terry Shepherd

Race Your Profits (RYP) is a system based on trading the performance of the favourite in a tennis match in a specific way. The author states that there is no need to watch the match in progress and implies that operating the system takes very little time; in fact, this is not quite the case. He gives all the necessary instructions about where to check for suitable matches and where one can follow the live score.

The fairly compact instruction part of the manual is backed up by videos which show the process in detail but these are hardly necessary, the method can be explained virtually in one line. There are the usual glowing examples of successful trades and a strong recommendation for Bet Angel Pro to assist in closing the trade by greening up though he does offer the address of a hedging calculator if you don’t have such software. There is also a section on how to manage the odds taken to close the trade to keep a balance of profit between winners and losers.

Considering that a contest of only two outcomes is the best possible place to trade, I have long looked for a method for tennis so I actually bought this system, considering it was worth the low price of £17.99 just to find out if this might be it. In fact, I cant really complain about it because the actual basic idea is quite a good one. The snag arises when you consider the time required to use it. It’s true that the actual operation of the system will probably take no more than about 10 minutes but this quietly ignores the fact that you have to watch the live scores through the first set to see if the game is going to qualify at the end of it so you can place your bet, then at least a portion of the second in order to clinch the trade at the right moment.

When you consider that there are many matches in the first days of a tournament and you are trying to watch the first sets in many overlapping matches, you can be very busy indeed between the Men & the Ladies. Since there are matches continuing all day which you should arguably be trying to watch for qualifiers, the burden can be considerable. Also, the tournaments can be in any time zone, from 12 hours before to 12 hrs behind GMT, so this can be difficult too, though since there are probably two or three events every week you can pick the one which fit’s you best.

Ones results depend not only on the favourite meeting the criteria but also on how the two players perform in relation to each other. This will affect the amount the odds swing when the events you require actually occur – provided they do. If things go wrong it is perfectly possible for the odds to jump so quickly that you can lose your entire stake before you can get a closing bet matched and there is also the possibility that there might not be enough money available on the lay side when you need it. However, on most occasions when the trade is placed, things do go the right way but even then the odds don’t always shift as much as you would hope and you have to accept less than the ideal amount of profit. This is heavily affected by the relative performance of the two players and as the week progresses through the rounds and the available matches dwindle, the players naturally tend to be of more equal ability and this definitely reduces the odds shift between them. It also makes the result you want less likely.

I traded the Ladies at Wimbledon for the first week (you can only use this method on three-set matches, so Mens Grand Slams are out), during which time I won a little money and lost one whole stake when the No 1 seed was knocked out by a lady 130-odd places below her in the rankings. At the end of the week I was exhausted, checking all the matches for eligibility and trying to keep several balls in the air at once. Since it was destroying the time I normally spend on my Forex trading as well, I gave up on it.

However, if you can afford the time and can handle balancing several matches through their critical betting phase while watching for other qualifiers with the other eye, the system does work quite often and I can see it turning a profit without a lot of risk; it just needs a lot of careful attention to protect your stakes. So, it’s fair to give it a thumbs up on that basis, though it’s not for me.

————–

Some thoughts on the other two systems this author offers as part of a suite of three for £77.00. Though I didnt trade them, due to the time requirement, one of them at least was sufficiently similar to form a judgement.

The Champ Winnings System is about trading the two players in the first set of a match. Without disclosing the specific method, it is based on ones expectations of the favourites performance and is a straightforward trading method on that. This would at least make the watching of the first set potentially profitable, though to handle several matches at once, while integrating this with the very full RYP scenario as the author suggests, might be a little ambitious, to say the least.

As usual, the ebook describes the fairly simple system clearly and offers video instruction as well. It requires you to pay close attention to the whole of the first set and while it would obviously benefit from a live TV feed, it is described as being operated with the use of the live score feed on one of the bookmakers sites, like the RYP. Not having traded this personally, I cant point to any specific profit or losses but it does look a plausible method if you have the time.

The third system, the Tennis Scalper, depends entirely on in-play betting on a live TV feed throughout the whole game, so a definite non-starter for me. This would be entirely familiar to anyone who had indulged in this sort of trading on the Betfair live prices, though where you would be trading the movements in the actual prices on the exchange, in this you trade on the outcome of each game or even each point scored, so there is the potential to build up good profits over the whole match. The method is exhaustively described in the ebook, with the usual videos, so much so that it leads me to believe that this is the authors chosen method.

Supreme Trading System

Supreme Trading System Review

Hi All.

Well, Ive been using this system for 4 weeks now and it’s time to give it my review. It’s quite simple:-

DONT WASTE YA MONEY!

Okay, so your gonna want a little more than that. As Ive already said, it’s a nice idea being given horse to watch for possible trades but the selection process is sooooooo simple, hardly any thought has gone into it at all. Ive worked out how they get the selections using the Racing Post website the night before. It’s not fair on the developers for me to say how they get these selections but it doesnt take a rocket scientist to work it out and it must take them 2 – 3 minutes. I don’t think this is adequate information to make a decision that these selections may steam down in price.

On top of that this system has driven me crazy to do. Ive been setting my alarm clock on my mobile (coz I can set multiple times) to go off 1 hour before each selections off time, 10 minutes before the off and then 2 minutes if I trade on it. It doesnt sound so bad in theory but trust me it drives ya mad. IF you make a profit it will be tiny. I say if coz Ive had some serious losing days as you probably read in my last blog.

Ive also tried long term trading on some of the selections but again Ive hit some serious losers wipping out a few days profit.

I have to say it’s a handy piece of software for traders but not worth paying for. You can get a trading calculator for free at:-

http://eskei.com/betting

It does the same thing and it’s rather good as it opens a tiny window and you can select it to lay first or back first.

So, all in all I have to give this system a thumbs down. It’s a nice concept but I not surprised it didnt work as it’s by developers who regularly release products that havent been tested in the long term, many of which Ive tried and blogged here.

So until I blog something else. Bye for now and happy betting.

André   :)

Supreme Trading System

Hi All.

I have to be honest I starting to go a little crazy with the alarm clock going off telling me it’s time to get to the computer. I start cooking, alarm cloak goes off, take a mouthful, alarm cloak goes off, sit down on the sofa to watch something and just as I starting to get into it guess what, THE ALARM CLOAK GOES OFF! Araghhhhh!!

Ive been trying the long term trading again. Some days are successful and some are not. On Wednesday I had my worst trade yet. At £100 on the back price of 1.74, the price shot up quickly to 4.60ish and hovered about there all day losing -£62.17. Ouch! Lucky I paper trading. Yesterday wasnt much better.

Ive worked out the selection process the developer uses to get the selections. I wont give it away coz thats not fair on them but it’s very simple and must take them all of 2-3 minutes a day.

Next week will be my last week of testing this system, thankfully, and I’ll be giving my review.

til next Friday.

Supreme Trading System

Hi All.

There have been some big losing trades this week which means if I was reading with real money I’d actually now be at a loss. That would be two weeks really annoying, antagonising, frustrating, stressful work for nothing. Thank goodness for the concept of paper trading.

I give some credit to the developers as I havent traded on all races due to other commitments and I think the idea of being given horses that are likely to steam (go down in price) is brill. Unfortunately in reality it doesnt always go as planned.

Ive been playing with selections i.e. trying long term trading. Placing a back bet about 9:30am and then laying 1 hour before the off or 2 minutes before the off if the price has drifted (gone up in price) hoping the price has moved back down. Again, this is sometimes profitable but yesterday and the day before I had some big hit losing trades.

I wondering with all the people who have bought this system and all trading on the same selections how much this is effecting the price movements and therefore are we really getting true value for money with regards to the prices.

til next Friday.

Supreme Trading System

Hi All.

I havent been blogging this system everyday as there hasnt been much to report. I thought it would be better just to update you all once a week on a Friday.

I have to honest, I thought the Supreme Trading System was a good concept but so far I disappointed. The idea is to check a race an hour before the off, then 10 minutes before the off and if the price has gone down (steaming) then place a back bet to do a trade. Most of the time the selections prices seem to have gone up (drifted) in this time span, therefore they have been no trades.

There has been a few winning trades but very little profit has been made. Ive only had a couple of losing trades so that I quite pleased about.

I finding running this system a bit of a nightmare. Basically I setting the alarm clock on my mobile 1 hour before each off of each race and then 10 minutes before each off, and then 2 minutes before the off if Ive placed a trade so that I can trade out (place my lay bet to green up). So you can imagine with the alarm going off every few minutes it gets a bit crazy keeping an eye on all the different selections. On top of that Ive got my other systems to keep an eye on and place bets. I think my head is ready to explode. Ill probably be a nervous wreck by the end of the 30 day test.

til next Friday.  :)

Supreme Trading System

Hi All.

André here again.  :)  For the next 30 days, not only am I being tested for my own Value 4 Racing selections (thanks Les by the way) but also I will be testing the Supreme Trading System Software.

For those of you who have been following the blog for a while will know Ive tried trading before, more than once I’d like to add, but didnt have much success. Well I did but then one trade would go pears up and wipe out my profit, which had taken a few days to build up. Ive still thought the concept of trading on horses is great; it’s just a case of finding method that works.

I cant check all races but I will be as busy as possible with this system Mon – Fri. At least we will get a rough idea if the software is any good. Basically, you load up the software in the morning and it gives you some potential steamers (thats horse whos prices are expected to go down on Betfair). You then look at these horses/races 1hour before the off on Betfair, then 10 minutes before the off, and if the price is steamer place a back bet. At 2 minutes before the off you check the price again and place your lay bet which will hopefully lock in a profit no matter what the outcome of the race (known as greening up). Of course, your only make a profit if the horse continued to steam in.

I tried this system on Friday but I found that the selections had steamed from the morning to the hour before the off, but in the next hour they all drifted out (the price went up on Betfair) so a no bet day.

Today there are 3 selections to keep an eye on.

Bet Synergy

Hi all.

André here again :) . I havent blogged anything since Fancy Fillies but now I back with a backing system, which everyone seems to be asking for. Admittedly there has been a lot of laying systems coming out.

I going to be testing Bet Synergy for this month. There are 4 strategies to use. The first is the most profitable but has very few winners so it could get scary on a losing run so I gonna start with strategy 4 which is the smallest profit but has very few loses. Why, you ask? Well, basically it’s a form of trading/arbitrage betting. Finding over priced horses at the bookies to back and then laying at a lower price on Betfair.

My only concern is that it will take a while to run through all the races looking at the all the figures only to find not many bets. However, I prepared to put it to the test.

I’ll start with a bank of just £100 and trade 10% on the back bet and then green up to guarantee a profit no matter what the outcome of the race. I know this wont make much but Ive tried a dew trading systems and software and been disappointed so I not gonna go nuts with my stakes just yet.

Betfair Secret

With regard to trading yesterday at around lunch time there was 9 potential bets, However, when coming to trade on this selections, which the opening trade is done 40 minutes before the off, none of these selections qualified. This has happened on most days since using the system, which I started on 23rd June.  I sorry everyone but I think this system is a waste of time. You have to keep stopping what you are doing to get to your computer 40 minutes before each race only to find there is no selection. It’s a real pain in the bum and it takes away the entire atmosphere in a movie if you gotta stop it few times to check the races, lol! I not gonna carry on with this part of the system. Sorry all.

With regard to place laying yesterday I had a similar result. No bets! I found a few potentials to begin with but it seems all the potential bets that are in the qualifying price range seem to be horses that are running for the first time or have only ran once or twice. One of the qualifications for this system is the horse must not have come 1st, 2nd or 3rd in it’s last 3 races. So if it hasnt run for 3 races I instantly dismiss it. In the system rules it doesnt say what you should do in these circumstances but it makes sense to dismiss it as we are looking for donkeys and if it hasnt run, or only run once or twice, we cannot tell what type of horse this is i.e. donkey or not. We do not want to take unnecessary risks. I will keep up this part of the system but there arent many selections. This month Ive had zero so far and only 3 since starting on 23rd June. And, as mentioned in a previous blog, one of them won it’s race. So don’t hold your breath for a recommended system on this one.

   :)
