Early Odds

Hi, I’m Nick, a Fulham supporter exiled in the West Country, and I’ve been testing a horse backing service called Earlyodds.

Earlyodds is run by a guy called Max from Montenegro, who uses his programming skills to analyse horse racing data. Max started Earlyodds in November 2015 and since then it has made 733 points. Max claims that most of the work is done by ‘sophisticated computer algorithms’ (I’m easily impressed!).

Earlyodds caught my eye because around 90% of the bets are available the night before, hence the title. I teach so I can’t easily place bets in the morning. The service provides around five tips a day at 1 point stakes. I was very interested to see how Earlyodds performs over the three months of this test.

Results: Selections: 500; Wins: 110 Points: 28.83; At £10 per point: £288.30

As you can see, we have ended with a profit of £288.30 at £10 flat stakes, with an ROI of 5.7%. However, the subscription of £98 every 90 days would of course have reduced this profit considerably. It has been quite a rollercoaster ride and it has felt like hard work at times. The service was up over 60 points over the first six weeks, but since then it has been performing poorly, losing over half that total. The service has gained 830 points since it started in November 2015, but this last four months appears to be the worst period, and it has been treading water since March.

500 bets were placed over the 16 week trial, with 110 wins (22%). This is quite low, and it did feel at times that wins were few and far between. There were ten losing runs of ten or more, with one recent run of 23. Most bets arrived before 10.00pm the previous evening, although a few were added the following day. There are usually 2-6 bets a day, but this can rise to 12. To be honest, I found placing this amount of bets a bit of a chore at times if I was feeling tired, and on a couple of occasions I must admit I left it till the morning. This is not a good idea as the longer odds horses did shorten considerably, and I was badly caught out once. I found that the shorter odd horses did not change much, but if you subscribe to this service it is important that you place your bets as soon as possible after you receive them.

I find it hard to come to a firm conclusion about Early Odds. On the plus side, it has done very well since it started in November 2015, and even now the results aren’t terrible. Going on past performance, there is a good chance that Early Odds will continue its previous success after this relatively poor period. The service is very reliable and selections always arrive on time. I really like the fact that most selections are posted the night before, although it is necessary to keep an eye out for further selections the next day. On the minus side, there are some long losing runs and it can be a pain placing up to 12 bets at night. Furthermore, my patience would be tested if recent poor results continued for 2-3 more weeks. Personally, I will keep an eye on it and see where it is in 2-3 months time.

So, to sum up, I’d recommend Early Odds as long as you consider the following factors:

  1. You will need to have patience and take the long view
  2. You can tolerate some long losing runs.
  3. You don’t mind placing up to 12 bets in the evening
  4. You can place bets during the day

SAW Deluxe – Retrial

I was asked to do a re-trial of SAW Delux as during my initial trial I hit a losing run that had never happened before (always the way).

I initially decided on a three month re-trial but it ended up being four.

By the end of month one I had made 36 points profit. Month two increased that to 110 points and all was looking good.

Then month three happened and there were three days in particular that wiped out all the profit and took me well into the red by about 80 points. I decided to keep it going to see if it would recover.

Month four saw it recover the losses and get back into profit but then another bad day and I was about at break even. By the end of yesterday, which was exactly four months since beginning this re-trial, I was in profit by 2 points.

I took that as a good opportunity to throw in the towel. Again.

At least this time I didn’t lose anything but I didn’t make anything either over the four months.

So overall, over the seven months I’ve tested it, I’m still about £100 down and therefore this has to remain in the Failed category.

The bot works flawlessly, so if you manage to find a setting that is profitable then it would be good. But using the recommended settings I can’t recommend it.

Easy Football Profits

I am looking at Easy Football Profits, a set of 4 systems, well 5 if you include the bonus system, and the instructions you need to find qualifiers. At the time of writing this collection of systems costs £89.97. For the first 60 days, you can login to a website where the selections have been found for you; after 60 days there’ll be an ongoing cost, but you don’t need to subscribe as you have all the instructions to do it yourself.

From the sales page:

System A (Laying the Draw) Fulltime: Low odds. £500 bank is at £7,183.00 (9th January, 2017) since 14th June, 2016 (30 months) and over 1,800 bets.

System C (Laying the Fulltime 1-1 Correct score) £500 bank is now at a staggering £73,729.00 over 34 months, and over 1900 bets, with a 91% strike rate.

These two systems are pre-Kick Off, so I will follow the bets for these two systems. The bonus system is also pre-Kick Off so I’ll report on that too. I’ll be using BSP with 5% commission where I can.

System B ( Laying the Fulltime Draw at halftime), £500 bank is now at £3,747.00 over 30 months on just over 300 bets.

System D (Laying the fulltime draw at halftime), £500 bank is now at £1,182.00 over 30 months on just over 1,125 bets.

These two systems are in-running and as I won’t be able to place some (most?) of these bets or monitor odds I won’t be reporting on these other than to replicate the official results.

BTTS Win Crusher

This is a one-off review of BTTS Win Crusher. This system costs just £20 at time of writing. For this you get a manual and some videos showing how to pick football matches. So, this is a one-off review because you could pick different matches than I would. You can add a banker result, to increase the returns.

I am being deliberately vague in this review as it would be too easy to disclose the method.

Whilst there is a recommended way to find your matches, WinDrawWin has a statistics page and using this could save you some time.

It is going to take about 15 minutes or so to research your matches and another 15 minutes to place all the bets this system requires.

This is bookie based, so eventually you’ll probably get your account limited, so I’d limit myself to 1 to 2 sets of bets per week, probably at weekend.

The odds are nice and high, so you can get some really nice returns to low stakes. One day I saw a possible £300 return to £1 stakes! It didn’t land, but it shows the potential.

With a little bit of work to find the matches, this should be a useful addition to your betting portfolio, and this application is approved.

Merlin Results Radar

This is a one-off review of Merlin Results Radar. This excel-based application costs $70, and requires you to pick three football matches to form a treble. So, this is a one-off review because you could pick different matches than I would.

How you pick your three football results is up to you, I used predictions on WinDrawWin, and tried not to choose matches with very low odds. You then input odds from up to 10 bookies, but I found 2 or 3 enough and Marathon usually have good odds. I used OddsChecker to find this data.

I made just shy of £140 during the week where I was playing around with this looking at the mechanics of the application. The application is easy to use, it takes about 10-15 minutes to research the matches, input the odds and place the bets. I set this up to allow for 1 “error” so I was making around 17 bets per time; so £170 per set of trebles at £10 per bet. The 1 “error” means that all is not lost if you don’t predict the result correctly, in fact, the best returns come in when the result isn’t correct on all of the matches.

This is bookie based, so eventually you’ll probably get your account limited, so I’d limit myself to 1 to 2 matches per week, probably at weekend.

With a little bit of work to find 3 match results this should be a useful addition to your betting portfolio, and this application is approved.
