The Life System

Version A:

12:40 Ludlow
Race missed due to system criteria

12:50 Exeter
Profit on race: £5.51

Profit Target Achieved

Bank Brought Forward: £530.97
Profit / Loss: £5.51
Current Bank: £536.48
Overall Loss to date: £63.52

I like days like this, two races, one race qualified and done. More like this would be good.

Version B:

12:40 Ludlow
Loss on race: £6.00

12:50 Exeter
Profit on race: £5.51

13:10 Ludlow
Loss on race: £6.00

13:20 Exeter
Profit on race: £7.98

13:40 Ludlow
Loss on race: £6.00

13:50 Exeter
Race missed due to system criteria

14:10 Ludlow
Profit on race: £7.98

Profit Target Achieved
Bank Brought Forward: £568.27
Profit / Loss: £3.47
Current Bank: £571.74
Overall Loss to date: £28.26

After the 13:20 at Exeter, a profit had been made of £1.49, in reality you may have stopped, but what the heck, this is a test of the system, it may not have paid off, but it did!

The Sharp End

It’s time for a catch-up post on The Sharp End.

Things have been painfully slow over the past few weeks, with selections proving to be hard to find. Rather than listing all the “No Selections” days, I have posted all the selections since the 6th December.

Tuesday 16th December
13:30 Catterick – Peppertree Lane – £60 @ 1.50 – LOST (-60.00)

Thursday 18th December
15:10 Ludlow – Carole’s Legacy – £54 @ 1.40 – WON (+21.60)

Starting Bank: £500.00
Current Bank: £558.79
Profit/Loss: £58.79

I’ll finish the trial tomorrow and then post my conclusions.

The Golden Key

Wednesday 17 Dec – Day 3

More active day with 18 selections. However, we are seeing very little profit. I am liaising with another tester on a different blog, at the system’s author request. He runs the system at a different time to me, and, he gets different selections and different profits. He is making more than me!

The system now takes a lot longer to process. 3 race meeting today took nearly 45 minutes, so it looks like a race meeting takes about 15 minutes. Hard to see how this can be speeded up.

Summary:

18 selections, 3 wins, profit £1.60

Start Bank £250, Current Bank £252.50

Curse of the Handicapper

I’ve been running behind with posting the system results: real life conspiring to keep me away from the computer assisted by a nice pre-Christmas cold.

For various reasons, I decided to wait until last Thursday to carry on with the test.  There was a repeat of Friday 5th, with winning selections throughout the day.  Then the last race producing a losing selection.  Fortunately, this time the selection that chose to romp home first was odds on and the day was the most profitable so far.  Friday resulted in another profit, though slightly smaller than Thursday’s.  Saturday, I was again unable to get online and Sunday ended with the system making a small loss.

RESULTS - Thursday 11-12-08

£10 level stakes
Successful lays:  7 =       £66.50  PROFIT
Unsuccessful lays:  1 =   -£6.30  LOSS
Starting bank: £1000
Daily P/L:        £60.20
Current bank:  £730.30

RESULTS - Friday 12-12-08

£10 level stakes
Successful lays: 12 =    £114.00  PROFIT
Unsuccessful lays: 3 =  -£71.80  LOSS
Starting bank: £1000
Daily P/L: £42.20
Current bank: £772.50

RESULTS - Sunday 14-12-08

£10 level stakes
Successful lays:  3 =      £28.50  PROFIT
Unsuccessful lays:  2 =  -£37.30  LOSS
Starting bank: £1000

LS Trader

Wednesday 17th December.

I know I said I would post my results each Monday but I thought you might be interested in a mid week update.

The trade I opened on Monday morning has progressed nicely with 39 pips profit.

I am testing this service with a £5000 betting bank and was told by the calculator to bet £3.70 a pip on this trade. It’s now showing £144.30 profit. A good start so far, and I am looking forward to building up the portfolio of trades as the weeks progress.

My Lay Bets

Day 31 & 32
RESULTS for 15th to 16th December

We are now in profit from a couple of heavy hit’s several days ago. I think this is pretty good going, and may well work out as a profitable system. Normally, the trial would end now, but I will continue a little longer and give a summary on the system just before Christmas. My own personal thoughts are that the system had a blip during the middle of the trial, as can be expected with any system or service, and that the service will probably work out in profit: -

15/12/08     1:25 @ Ayr       Something Silver         Lay Odds 5.80         Successful Lay
16th December – No Qualifying Selections

Bank brought forward: -
£1,000.00 Starting bank
£   991.71 Bank brought forward
£     23.55 Profit
£1,015.26 Total Bank to date

Betfair commission of 5% taken in to account on successful lays

The Ultimate Forex Predictor

Wednesday 17th December

Apparantly there was a great trade just after 3pm yesterday netting 70 pips profit, but I finish at 3pm. Can’t win them all.

10 pips profit on the EURUSD this morning:

And a sweet 130 pips on the GBPUSD too:

Now, I normally wouldn’t trade anymore after such a big win but just before noon another trade lined up. I set an order to open at 15409 and went back to answering e-mails. As I was just about to check if the trade had run out I heard a bong and in fact the trade went live, but the 5 minute PTP had just disappeared making it an unqualified trade with my method. I grimaced as the trade went into minus figures but it soon moved into profit just enough for me to take it to break even. I thought I might as well let it run at this point and boy am I glad I did… another 100 pips profit on the day, brilliant:

I’m quitting for the day now as I’ve made up for a poor two weeks in one day.

The Life System

I have had a further e-mail from James. To clarify, for those that have the latest version of the ebook, there is an additional filter in testing. Version A HAS this filter, version B does not.

Version A:

12:20 Folkestone
Loss on race: £6.00

12:30 Catterick
Loss on race: £6.00

12:50 Folkestone
Race missed due to system criteria

13:00 Catterick
Loss on race: £6.00

13:20 Folkestone
Race missed due to system criteria

13:30 Catterick
Race missed due to system criteria

13:50 Folkestone
Loss on race: £6.00

14:00 Catterick
Loss on race: £6.00

14:20 Folkestone
Profit on race: £11.78

14:30 Catterick
Loss on race: £6.00

14:50 Folkestone
Loss on race: £6.00

15:00 Catterick
Profit on race: £14.25

15:20 Folkestone
Profit on race: £7.60

15:30 Catterick
Loss on race: £6.00

On Sundays post, I showed the Bank Brought Forward figure as £459.57 instead of £569.57, therefore £110 short. I looked over everything again, and cannot explain why! Have adjusted today’s brought forward to the correct amount.

Bank Brought Forward: £542.44
Profit / Loss: -£14.37
Current Bank: £528.07
Overall Loss to date: £71.93

A further loss with the additional filter, but on version B, it is a different story.

Version B:

12:20 Folkestone
Loss on race: £6.00

12:30 Catterick
Loss on race: £6.00

12:50 Folkestone
Profit on race: £36.10

Starting Bank: £545.51
Profit / Loss: £24.10
Current Bank: £569.61
Overall loss to date: £30.39

Version B going back towards breakeven, with a great result on the 3rd race.
