Cricket Tipster

I have been subscribing to Cricket Tipster since the beginning of December and so far the trial is proving to be very profitable.

Tips are sent by e-mail and here is a typical example:

Hi Everyone

AUSTRALIA V INDIA 4TH TEST 00.00 GMT 24/1/12

2PTS AUSTRALIA (11/10 WILLIAM HILL)

0.5 PT DAVID WARNER TOP AUSTRALIAN BAT 1ST INNINGS (4/1 BLUE SQ)

YOURS IN SPORT

ANTH

Now this is where I found a slight drawback to this service. The tips frequently arrive ‘out of hours’ and by that I mean sometimes you can get a tip at 10pm for a match that is about to start somewhere in the world perhaps in the next few hours, or overnight that night.

To make use of this service you really need to have access to your e-mails and bookie accounts, preferably from a smart phone, at all times. Obviously you can’t place bets while you’re asleep but fortunately we’ve never had a tip come that late before so as long as you’re not the sort to be tucked up in bed at 10pm then this can work for you.

Having said that, most bets come late afternoon or early evening.

On to the results and the service is showing a profit of 31 points to 20th January which really is excellent.

You can try Cricket Tipster for £7 for the first month with a 30 day money back guarantee here:

Profitable Lays

Day 45 – 24 January:  Today -12.35 points. Total 3.50 points.

Overall Strike Rate is 53.21% with average odds of 2.97.
Overall return to £10 stakes is -£60.68 and to £25 stakes is -£151.69.

Folks, I know there was racing between 22nd and 29th December, but because I don’t get the printed version of the Racing Post I did not track these events. Apparently I have therefore ignored some 11.13 points of profit which makes the figures above look even better!

Time Shift Trader

Day 1: -£200

Total: -£200

Well a losing trade on the first day at £10 a pip.

Looking back over the last 14 days shows a profit of around £1,200 but of course that’s back testing. Let’s see what tomorrow brings.

Time Shift Trader

I’m going to be testing out Time Shift Trader over the next few months. You get a 74 page manual which is concise and well written. If you have trading experience you need only go to the main system information but if you have no trading experience at all then it covers opening a spread betting account, finding the market, and how to place your trade.

There is no fluff or filler, it’s a good manual, and comes with e-mail support from the author should you have any questions.

On to the system and this is not a new method of trading by any means. I basically had an idea of what it was from reading the sales page and it was exactly as I expected. It is almost entirely the same as Quick Trade FX which we are also testing at the moment, however the difference here is the particular market we are trading on, and the time at which the trade is placed, in this case between 1pm and 1.25pm.

This suits me fine actually as I cannot at present trade early mornings.

All you have to do is login to your spread betting platform at some point between 1pm and 1.25pm, check the price on a particular market and place a particular type of trade with a set stop loss and profit target.

The stop loss is always 20 pips and the profit target is between 10pips and 40 pips and left up to you but comes with a chart showing the results of past trades with various targets, their profits and strike rates.

According to the chart a profit target of 40 pips is more profitable but only has a 41.7% strike rate, whereas a profit target of 10 has an 80% strike rate but less overall profit.

For the sake of simplicity I shall go for a 3:2 ratio, so a profit target of 30 pips with a 20 pip stop loss. Apparently this has a 53.3% strike rate and if the numbers stack up, should provide a profit over time.

This is a nice, simple, relaxed trading method. Whether it proves profitable or not remains to be seen.

The system comes with a full, no quibble, 30 day money back guarantee.

Quick Trade FX

I received an e-mail from the author this morning regarding the recent lack of trades and thought it would be useful to add his comments below:

“No Trades again last week.

After last week’s commentary I also spoke to contacts inside the industry, some with 25+ years of FX experience behind them and they all came back with the same response about our current dilemma;

Firstly, systems should never be judged on one month alone and least of all December!
Secondly, that the ranges in USDJPY are artificially narrow and will not last.
Thirdly, that the system may not be trading but critically it is not LOSING money.
I have been further reassured by these independent observations that it is just a case of being patient and riding out this frustrating period. The important thing is although we are not getting trading opportunities the system is not LOSING money.”

I think this is key while other methods may be getting a lot of trades, are they profitable or are you just throwing money away. My bank is intact and so is all of the other members so still a thumbs up from me
