Back with a positive result after 3 losses. But it was SO close. Israel came back from 2 goals down with a last gasp Ben Sahar effort getting them off the hook. The thinking behind this selection was fairly sound after my doubts about a few of the recent choices. Israel have a respectable recent home record getting good results against better teams than the Swiss. Anyone watching the Summer’s Euro competition saw just how bad Switzerland were, so this should have been a lot more clear cut than it turned out to be.

I am not keen on Asian Handicap football betting, but I know I am in the minority with that. I am even less keen on wide(ish) handicaps like this. You just don’t get the cricket score like results at international level that you did 10-15 years ago. Having said that, Spain are the best team in Europe at the moment and Bosnia are one of the weaker former Yugoslav nations. The service can be forgiven for expecting Spain to win well, but giving any team a 3 goal start is always going to be an extra risk and I’m not sure I think it was a value bet at a very short price. But as stated above, I am a bit biased against these type of bets anyway and I imagine plenty of people will disagree with me on that subject.
