Apologies for the late posting but it has taken a lot a digging to find some value amongst Wednesday’s fixtures. Nothing stands out as NAP material but there are a couple of decent selections for a double.
First up we head to Austria for the Cup match between Sturm Graz and Wiener Neustadt. Sturm Graz have not kept a clean sheet at home in a competitive match since October 20th 2012, a 0-0 draw against Mattersburg who were subsequently relegated. That statistic speaks volumes in itself. Visitors Neustadt have scored 14 goals in their last seven games but they have only kept one clean sheet all season. William Hill are a generous 8/15 for Neustadt to score but I think Sturm Graz are decent at home and will also find the net. Both teams to score @31/40 looks a decent price. For the second leg we bet over 2.5 goals in the West Brom v Arsenal Capital One Cup match. Arsenal’s away record is very impressive, winning 8 in succession. Their away scores this season have seen wins of 2-1, 3-1, 3-1 and 3-0. Both sides are likely to rest players but the philosophy of both sides is to attack and this corresponding match has played out results of 1-2, 2-3 and 2-2 in the last three encounters. The double pays just under 2/1 and is worth a 5pt stake.
