I have been looking at Horse Network Tipster, a horse racing tipping service that costs £29 per month with reductions for longer subscriptions.
Each evening you get an email containing the selections, points to invest and suggested bookmakers. From the profit figures it is important to get bets on as soon as possible; for example, on Sunday Mr Love (Huntingdon 15:30) was advised at 6/1 but BSP was a tad over 2/1, so prices can, and do, collapse.
Using bookmakers, the trial ended 29 points up (£290 at the standard £10 per point), so is still in profit when three monthly subscriptions are deducted. As indicated above, prices collapse so it is no surprise that Betfair is no where near as good and ended 54.74 points down (-£547 at £10 per point). This is, therefore, a bookmaker-based service.
A strike rate of 12% (74 wins from 582 bets), you have to mentally prepared for long losing runs. This might just keep your bookmaker account safe.
In conclusion, the profit isn’t brilliant from 13 weeks of effort, but it is a profit. I am going to go neutral with this one.
