Longshot King is a horse racing backing membership service, with selections available via a member’s website.

The basic cost of the service is US$47 per thirty days, with a free trial for the first fourteen days.

The service provides both each way and win selections, according to the website concentrating on “higher class and competitive racing”. This will mean of course that there may not be bets every day, but I suspect there will be more selections for the festival meetings and at weekends.

I will show results with prices at Betfair SP.

It is recommended that win selections are backed to a 1 point stake, and each way selections to 1 point each way.

Here are today’s results:

14:15 Newcastle
Minster Shadow
Stake: 1 point EW.
Pulled Up, 10 ran.

15:50 Newbury
The Rainbow Hunter
Stake: 1 point EW.
Finished: 2nd of 11.
Betfair SP: 17.47 (3.60).

Loss for today: -0.53 points.
Loss to date: -0.53 points.

A small loss on the day then, but would have been handsomely in profit had The Rainbow Hunter been able to find seven lengths.
