I’ve been looking at Racing Consultants from Rory Delargy and David Massey. This is a tipster service that costs £39.95 per month or £299 for the year.

The selections, if there are any, are emailed the mid-morning. Sometimes selections were posted the evening before when prices were expected to collapse.

A 100 point bank is advised and the email contains staking recommendations. Sometimes doubles, trixies and reverse forecasts & tricasts are advised too.

The trial ended 103 points up. At £10 per point this covers subscription costs with a healthy profit. The service has been as high as 112 points up but was 9 points down too at the start of the trial.

Looking at the odds advised, the odds available when I read the emails and Betfair SP, there’s not too bad correlation: Average advised odds is 8.83, I got an average of 9.05 and BSP averaged 9.24. So Betfair prices may be an option, but with the doubles, trixies and forecasts in the service placing bets with BOG Bookies is a viable option too. If I could get matched at close to the advised odds, I’d probably use an exchange as the bets are mostly straight win and each-ways, so you need to protect against being gubbed by the bookies.

The size of the profit £900 to £10 stakes after subscription, £2475 profit to £25 stakes there should be no surprise that this service gets an approved rating.
