I have opened a wirex account so that i can join yieldnodes. I have opened the account and managed to link my mastercard and made a £35 deposit to activate the card. Just tried to deposit £1970 so that i can change £2000 to bitcoin to invest in yieldnodes but it has declined it.
My partner tried to open wirex account and couldn’t even get any card linked and when he rang up halifax they said it is deemed too risky and wouldn’t allow it! I asked wirex on chat if I had a sortcode and account number so I could do a bank transfer they said they don’t do that any more! Can you throw some light on it?
Yes, Wirex have recently stopped their Visa debit card with which you got the bank details and tell us that they will be introducing a MasterCard at which point the bank details come back again, so it’s no good at the moment.
I would suggest using Binance instead and depositing there using a bank transfer which should be fine. I find it odd that banks think they can tell you what you are and are not allowed to spend your own money on. If Elon Musk can buy $1.5 billion worth of Bitcoin, how come your bank doesn’t let you?

Try Binance and let me know if you get stuck.
